    摘要： The present invention provides a mobile luggage system having a frame with at least on mobility facilitating member and at least one container defining a primary compartment. The container has a plurality of walls configured to completely enclose the primary compartment in a first configuration. In a second configuration, the primary compartment is accessible through an access opening that is selectively openable. The container is configured for selectively securing onto and releasing from the frame without penetrating access by the frame into the primary compartment.

    摘要： An analyte monitor includes a sensor, a sensor control unit, and a display unit. The sensor control unit typically has a housing adapted for placement on skin and is adapted to receive a portion of an electrochemical sensor. The sensor control unit also includes two or more conductive contacts disposed on the housing and configured for coupling to two or more contact pads on the sensor. A transmitter is disposed in the housing and coupled to the plurality of conductive contacts for transmitting data obtained using the sensor. The display unit has a receiver for receiving data transmitted by the transmitter of the sensor control unit and a display coupled to the receiver for displaying an indication of a level of an analyte, such as blood glucose. An inserter having a retractable introducer is provided for subcutaneously implanting the sensor in a predictable and reliable fashion.

    摘要： A surgical tissue ligation clip and an applicator device for delivery of multiple ligation clips is provided. The surgical ligation clips have first and second leg members joined by a resilient hinge at one end and a deflectable hook member and a locking element on the opposite end. The surgical tissue ligation clip has a proximal tissue shield that prevents tissue from being pinched at the hinge, and/or a distal tissue shield that prevents tissue from being pinched between the hook member and locking element and interfering with securely closing the ligation clip for implantation. A minimally invasive applicator for the surgical ligation clip is provided for delivering individually arranged ligation clips in line, incising target tissue and delivering a plurality of surgical ligation clips at the tissue site.

    摘要： A blade closing detector for an electric power switch includes a blade closing detector and an electronic or visual indicator. A first type of detector uses a gravity switch and a magnetic pickup to detect proper engagement between the blade and the switch. A second type of detector uses a sliding latch with a visual indicator rod to provide a visual indication of proper engagement of the blade within the jaws. A third type of detector uses a magnetic switch with a pivot arm and a dome shaped visual indicator. These detectors may be deployed individually or in combination and may be augmented with communication equipment to transmit switch status to a remote location. It will be understood that specific embodiments may include a variety of features in different combinations, as desired by different users.
