摘要： An electrical connector assembly includes a printed circuit board, a socket connector assembled on the printed circuit board and a chip module seating on the insulative socket. The socket connector assembly has an insulating socket having a plurality of terminals received therein, a cover located on the insulating housing and three retention members secured to the printed circuit board and mating with the cover. The cover is attached to two of the retention members and capable of linear and rotational movements with regarding to said retention members so that the cover presses the chip module and is secured by another retention member.

摘要： An electrical connector is adapted for electrically connecting an electronic package (3) to a circuit board. The electrical connector includes an insulative housing (11), a stiffener (13) supporting the insulative housing and formed with a stopper (137), a clip (30) formed with a depressing portion (34), and a leaf (50) formed with an anchor (52). The clip is mounted on the stiffener and is pivotable between a first position and a second position. The leaf is mounted on the clip and is pivotable between the second position and a locked position. When the leaf is positioned at the locked position, the anchor is blocked by the stopper and the depressing portion of the clip depresses the electronic package.

摘要： A socket connector includes a socket body, a plurality of contacts received in the socket body; and a pick-up cap mounted upon the socket body. The socket body includes a base and a first sidewall and a second sidewall respectively located by opposite sides of the base. The first sidewall and the second sidewall are respectively formed with a first protrusion and a second protrusion. The pick-up cap includes a cover section and a first flange and a second flange which respectively extend downwardly from opposite sides of the cover section and which are respectively engaged with the first sidewall and the second sidewall of the socket body. The first flange and the second flange are respectively formed with a first notch and a second notch arranged in asymmetrical manner and engaged with the first protrusion and the second protrusion, respectively.

A plurality of passageways is defined between the mating interface and the mounting surface and having an opening at the mounting surface. The insulative housing includes an encampment associated with each of the passageway at the mounting surface, and includes an extension crossing over an inner wall of the passageway to substantially narrow the opening of the opening. The socket connector furthers includes a plurality of contact terminals each received in the passageway and further includes a curvilinear solder portion extending beyond the mounting surface. And the socket connector further is incorporated with a plurality of solder balls each disposed between the encampment and the curvilinear solder portion.

摘要： A socket for electrically connecting an IC package to a printed circuit board, comprises an insulative housing, a stiffener surrounding the housing and having a front wall defining a hole; and a load plate pivotably mounted to the front wall of the stiffener. The load plate has a pivotal portion with a hook, the hook has a latching finger engaging with the latching hole of the stiffener, a protruding finger and a gap defined between the latching finger and the protruding finger. The protruding finger resists the stiffener when the load plate deflects on a top-to-bottom direction relative to the stiffener. The protruding finger also can engage with the stiffener to guide the load plate to rotate in a correct direction.

摘要： An electrical connector used for connecting a circuit processing unit (CPU) with pins with a print circuit board (PCB) includes an insulating housing, a plurality of terminals received in the housing and a plurality of fusible members mechanically fixed into the housing. The housing includes a plurality of passageways and receiving cavities communicating with each other. Each of the terminals received in the corresponding passageway has a soldering portion. Each fusible member mechanically fixed into the corresponding receiving cavity has a through hole for receiving the soldering portion of the terminal. A gap is formed between the soldering portion and the fusible member when the soldering portion received in the through hole.
