    摘要: Improved single-phase aerosol spray air sanitizers and deodorizers are disclosed. The preferred active ingredient for the air sanitization is a high concentration of triethylene glycol (TEG), in a single-phase aerosol formulation made possible by the use of dimethyl ether (DME) as a propellant. The combination of TEG and DME enables high concentrations of TEG to be utilized in a single-phase aerosol formulation, without requiring the use of ethanol or water as co-solvents. The formulation is useful for sanitizing air and removing bacteria and other malodorants from the air as well achieving higher bacteria kill rates than existing air sanitization formulations due to the high concentrations of TEG. Because the high concentration TEG aerosol formulation is a single-phase formulation, it can be utilized in automated spray or dispensing systems and do not require shaking or agitation prior to use. Disclosed formulations leave little or no visible residue on hard surfaces when dispensed into the air of a room.

    摘要: A structural member for use in high temperature environments is disclosed. The structural member has a core encased within a shell material. The core material is formed of a strong material having a melting point well above that of the shell material. The disclosed structural member is particularly useful when forming a boat for heating silicon and the like to temperatures between 900 degrees Celsius and 1500 degrees Celsius. In a preferred embodiment the core material is graphite and the shell is fused silica. Even more preferably, the fused silica pneumatically encases the graphite to thereby prevent inadvertent contamination during use of the structural member. A related method for forming the structural member is also disclosed.

A plurality of indicia are carried by the two legs of the gauge. The indicia each include a center band sandwiched between outer bands with the inner and outer bands being of contrasting colors. The side edges of the gauge are inserted between the flaps and back panels of the envelope into engagement with a gum line and a depth of penetration is observed by determining the intersection of an edge of the envelope with the indicium along a side edge of the gauge thereby determining whether or not the envelope is in or out of specification.

    摘要: A tool kit is provided for enabling easy removal and attachment of a watch strap or band to a watch using spring bar type connectors. The tool kit comprises a work table and one or more tools which are stored in compartments in the work table and held releasably therein by detent means. The work table includes a watch support pad on which the watch is positioned for removal and attachment of the strap or band with one of the tools, the pad being made of rubber or other suitable material so as not to harm the watch finish. The work table also includes a pintle-compressing member in the form of a generally upright plate-like member having a first side wall and a recessed second side wall connected together at one end by a narrow end wall whose thickness is selected to compress a pintle of the spring bar connector when the plate-like member is positioned between a free watch case lug and a free end of the connector with the other end of the connector being engaged against the other watch case lug. The recess in the second side wall extends toward and terminates at the end wall and is designed to receive the free pintle of the spring bar connector and guide it into engagement with the free watch case lug to complete attachment of the watch strap and connector to the lugs. The tools stored in the work table may be used to both remove and attach a watch strap or band to a watch. A cover member fits over the work table and is configured to capture the tools when stored in the storage compartments to prevent tool loss.

    摘要: Field replacement of a damaged outlet guide vane for redirecting helical airflow into axial flow in a turbofan engine is facilitated by utilizing a replacement vane assembly that includes an elongated replacement vane having first and second mounting platforms mounted at opposite ends of the vane. The first mounting platform is fixedly secured to the inner end of the vane and the second mounting platform is mounted so as to be movable from the outer end of the vane toward the inner end thereof. With the second mounting platform at the outer end of the vane, that mounting platform constitutes a substantial bulge which is positioned so as to limit the ability to maneuver the vane in a confined space. By moving the outer mounting platform toward the inner end of the vane, it is easier to maneuver the vane in a confined space and thereby facilitate entry of the outer mounting platform over the lip of and into the outer annular casing groove that partially defines the operating position for the replacement vane.
