摘要： A rotatable tiller apparatus for use in mixing soils in situ, including: (a) a vertically oriented rotatable drive shaft, connected to and driven by a motor external to the apparatus; (b) a drive assembly connected to the drive shaft; (c) at least two vertically oriented, rotatable cutting shafts connected to the drive shaft through the drive assembly and at least one support plate; (d) a sprocket assembly within the drive assembly connected to the drive shaft, the sprocket assembly comprising at least one rotatable sprocket for each cutting shaft; (e) a device for rotating the sprockets in a direction counter to the rotation of the drive shaft, the device being driven by the motor, the sprockets being rotatable in the same direction and at the same speed as one another; and (f) at least two tine assemblies arranged vertically in tandem along each of the cutting shafts, each tine assembly including at least one tine with at least one blade at its end.

摘要： A logo projector is provided which consists of a flashlight that can be held in a hand of a person using said logo projector. A bezel is affixed to the flashlight so that when the flashlight is turned on a beam of light will pass through the bezel. An elongated opaque tube is affixed at a first end to the bezel. A focusing lens is affixed to a second end of the elongated opaque tube. A transparent member having an opaque logo on the center of the back surface thereof is also provided. The transparent member is affixed to the first end of the elongated opaque tube adjacent the bezel so that when the flashlight is turned on the beam of light passing through will cause an image of a silhouette of the opaque logo from the transparent member to be projected onto a distant surface.

摘要： A firefighting tool having a flat blade with a pointed leading end for piercing through structural panels, a plurality of stop teeth members for engaging a structural panel that has been pierced to defeat facile withdrawal of the tool, and a plurality of rip teeth members for sawing through the panels when the tool is reciprocated along its longitudinal axis. The stop teeth members are positioned at an angle relative to the rip teeth members and allow the firefighter to easily maintain the tool in an overhead configuration when it is used to remove ceiling panels because the angle of the stop teeth members results in a hooking action so that the ceiling supports the weight of the tool to some extent. Since the stop teeth members defeat inadvertent withdrawal of the blade, the firefighter need not make multiple penetrations of the ceiling panels or other structural member being removed by the tool.

摘要： A process and apparatus for producing calcium sulfide is provided comprising a container housing one or more drums, each drum having a substantially horizontal longitudinal center axis and containing one or more screw conveyors therein. Multiple drums are connected by passageways, and passages are provided for passing material into and out of the container and the drum(s). A heater is provided for supplying heat to the material within the drum(s). The process comprises passing the reactants, gypsum and charcoal, into the container and drum(s), heating the reactants within the drum(s) thereby initiating a chemical reaction converting reactants to products (including calcium sulfide), moving the reactants and products substantially horizontally in the drum(s) through the use of the screw conveyor(s) contained therein, and passing the products out of the drum(s) and the container.

摘要： A land vehicle has a floor with upper and lower surfaces. Fibrous material is bonded to the upper surface of the floor, and a ballistic panel/blast shield is disposed below the floor and is spaced from the lower surface of the floor to create an air gap between the panel and floor. Mechanical fasteners secure the panel to the vehicle. Resilient material is disposed between the vehicle and the panel at the fasteners. The panel, air gap, resilient material and flooring provide resistance to blast pressure. The flooring and fibrous material trap flying shrapnell fragments.
