The light emitting element is disposed in the space and has an optical axis direction, where the third portion has a first surface facing the first portion, a first angle having a range of 5-10 degrees is included between the optical axis direction and a connection line between the light emitting element and one end of the first surface away from the light emitting element.

    摘要: A planar light source including a light guide plate (LGP) and a light source device is provided. The LGP includes a plate portion and at least one prism portion. The plate portion has a light incident surface, a reflective surface, a bottom surface, and a light exiting surface. The prism portion is disposed on the bottom surface of the plate portion, and has a first plane and a second plane. An included angle between the first plane and the bottom surface is smaller than an included angle between the second plane and the bottom surface, and a shortest distance between the first plane and the light incident surface is smaller than a shortest distance between the second plane and the light incident surface. The light source device is disposed adjacent to the light incident surface. The disclosure provides planar light source with good light uniformity.

    摘要: An illumination system adapted to a projection apparatus is provided, including a light source module, a light color modulating module, and a control unit. The light color modulating module has a plurality of light color modulating units and is disposed in a transmission path of a light beam. The light color modulating module is capable of moving so that the light color modulating units move into the illumination region of the light beam. When the control unit determines that a boundary of any two adjacent light color modulating units has moved into the illumination region of the light beam, the control unit switches the light source module to an off-state. When the boundary of any two adjacent light color modulating units has moved away from the illumination region of the light beam, the control unit switches the light source module to an on-state. An illumination control method is also provided.

The projection module is for receiving the illumination light beam from the illumination system and projecting an image according to the illumination light beam. The filter is disposed in the illumination system and located on a light path defined by the illumination light beam. The filter comprises a first filtering part and a second filtering part. A minimum wavelength of a wavelength range of transmitted light of the second filtering part is larger than a minimum wavelength of a wavelength range of transmitted light of the first filtering part, or a maximum wavelength of a wavelength range of transmitted light of the second filtering part is smaller than a maximum wavelength of a wavelength range of transmitted light of the first filtering part.

    摘要: An image projecting apparatus includes a light source, a relay lens, a reflective light valve, and a projection lens. The light source is capable of emitting a light beam. The relay lens is disposed to permit the light beam provided by the light source to pass therethrough, and has a lens periphery formed with a notch. The reflective light valve is spaced apart from the relay lens, and is disposed to receive and modulate the light beam passing through the relay lens into an image light beam. The projection lens is disposed proximate to the notch of the relay lens, and is capable of projecting the image light from the reflective light valve to display an image onto a screen. The relay lens has a plurality of light-absorbing regions proximate to the notch for reducing a light-splitting effect attributed to the notch.

The full-surround screen defines an accommodation space in the shape of a column. The reflective element is disposed in the accommodation space, and the reflective element has a bottom surface and at least one side surface connected with the bottom surface, the side surface of the reflective element faces the full-surround screen. The first projection unit is used for projecting a first image beam on the side surface of the reflective element, and the side surface of the reflective element reflects the first image beam to allow the first image beam to fall upon the full-surround screen.

    摘要: A projector comprising a light engine, a detector, and a control unit is disclosed. The light engine comprises a light source and generates a projection beam based on the light from the light source. The space which the projection beam passes through is defined as a projection area, and a security area is defined by the projector to include or overlap the projection area. The detector detects whether a living organism is in the security area or not. When the detector detects a living organism in the security area, the detector generates a warning signal and transmits the warning signal to the control unit. After receiving the warning signal, the control unit directs the projector to enter a security mode to protect the living organism from being hurt.

    摘要: A light source driving method for controlling a first and a second light source assembly of a projection apparatus to turn on and off at least once during each 1/n frame time is provided. The first light source assembly includes first color light sources and third color light sources, while the second light source assembly includes second color light sources. The light source driving method includes following steps: turning on and off the first color light sources once sequentially in a first sub-frame period; turning on and off a part of the second color light sources once synchronously in a second sub-frame period; turning on and off the other second color light sources once synchronously in a third sub-frame period; and turning on and off the third color light sources once sequentially in a fourth sub-frame period.
