Abstract:
An improved semiconductor device is provided whereby the semiconductor device is defined by a layered structure comprising a first dielectric layer, a data storage material disposed on the first dielectric layer, and a second dielectric layer disposed on the data storage material, the layered structured substantially forming the outer later of the semiconductor device. For example, the semiconductor device may be a SONOS structure having an oxide-nitride-oxide (ONO) film that substantially surrounds the SONOS structure. The invention also provides methods for fabricating the semiconductor device and the SONOS structure of the invention.

Abstract:
A power supply apparatus with an inrush current prevention circuit is applied to a parallel power bus. The power supply apparatus includes a filter capacitor and a current control unit. The current control unit is electrically connected to the filter capacitor. The current control unit controls a charged current flowing through the filter capacitor to prevent an inrush current generated in the parallel power bus.

Abstract:
A device for controlling the illuminance of a light source in order to quickly warm up the light source to a certain brightness for a scanning operation is disclosed. The device allows multi-stages of current to be provided for the light source by adjusting a capacitance therein. For a two-stage illuminance control before scanning operations, a current having an intensity greater than required for the normal scanning operation is provided for the light source to excite the brightness of the light source to exceed the certain brightness required for the scanning operation in the first stage, and a current for generating the desired brightness for the scanning operation substitutes for the exciting current to be provided for the light source in the second stage. Thereafter, the scanning operation is performed after a short period of brightness stabilization.
Abstract:
A touch panel module includes a surface panel, a band splitter, an optical unit and a control unit. Retro-reflectors are respectively positioned on three peripheral sides of the surface panel, and the band splitter is positioned on the retro-reflector positioned at one peripheral side of the surface panel, where the band splitter totally reflects a light beam within a first band while a light beam with a second band transmits through the band splitter. The optical unit is utilized for generating a first band beam within the first band and for receiving a reflected first band beam from one of the retro-reflectors to generate a first signal, and the control unit performs touch point detection according to the first signal.
Abstract:
A spanner includes first and second clamping members. The first clamping member has a handle portion and a first jaw portion with a pivot plate portion that has a first pivot hole formed through top and bottom surfaces thereof. The second clamping member has a second jaw portion and a pair of pivot lobes which cooperatively define a receiving space therebetween to permit the pivot plate portion to extend thereinto and which are formed with second pivot holes aligned axially with the first pivot hole. A pivot shaft extends through the first and second pivot holes for mounting pivotally the second clamping member on the first clamping member. A torsion spring is sleeved on the pivot shaft, and is disposed in the receiving space for biasing the second jaw portion to move toward the first jaw portion. One of the top and bottom surfaces of the pivot plate portion is formed with a recess confining wall that defines a recess around the first pivot hole for receiving the torsion spring so that the torsion spring is concealed by the recess confining wall. The receiving space has a width which is measured between confronting inner surfaces of the pivot lobes and which is substantially equal to the thickness of the pivot plate portion measured between the top and bottom surfaces of the pivot plate portion.
Abstract:
A trash receptacle system includes an outer shell and an inner liner. The inner liner includes a cut-out and a gate having a hinged attachment proximate the cut-cut. The gate is movable about the hinged attachment between an open configuration where the cut-out is exposed and a closed configuration where the gate extends across the cut-out to secure a trash to the inner liner.
Abstract:
A device includes a cam-lock assembly located at an end of an inner tube inserted into an outer tube. The inner tube and the outer tube slide with respect to one another to adjust an overall length when the cam-lock assembly is in a released position, and rotation of one of the inner tube and the outer tube engages the cam-lock assembly such that the inner tube and the outer tube are fixed at a particular length.
