摘要： A resettable injection training device having a an outer shell including a proximal end and a distal end, the outer shell defining a chamber there within, an actuation member near a proximal end, and a plunger slidable within the chamber is provided. The device further including a safety shield having an extended locked position, an extended unlocked position and a retracted position, a locking sleeve configured to interact with the safety shield, and a reset shuttle disposed within the safety shield at a distal end of the device, wherein the reset shuttle is slidable relative to the safety shield, such that movement of the reset shuttle toward the proximal end of the device unlocks the safety shield.

摘要： In one embodiment, a resettable injection training device is provided herein. The injection training device includes an outer shell comprising a proximal end and a distal end, the outer shell defining a chamber there within, and a plunger slidable within the chamber, the plunger comprising a plunger feature and one or more rail portions. The injection training device further includes a locking safety shield disposed and slidable within the chamber, the safety shield comprising a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end for interfacing with a target surface to actuate the injection training device, the safety shield comprising an extended locked position, an extended unlocked position, and a retracted position. The injection training device further includes a rotatable plunger collar comprising a plunger collar tab for interfacing with the plunger feature and with the safety shield, wherein the plunger collar is rotated in a first direction to release the plunger from a pre-fired position to a fired position, a rotatable safety shield collar comprising a locking tab, the locking tab for interfacing with the safety shield to lock the safety shield in an extended, locked position in the fired position, and a reset component disposed within the chamber, said reset component configured to interface with the safety shield collar to unlock the safety shield during reset of the device.

The resettable injection training device includes a body and a retractable shield, extendable and retractable relative to the body of the device, in an embodiment. In another embodiment, the resettable injection training device may include an injection simulation member. The retractable shield may be lockable in an extended position, and may be unlocked to retract the shield for a subsequent use of the device in one non-limiting embodiment. In another non-limiting embodiment, a resetting component may be used to retract the shield to reset the device.

The respiratory inhaler training device may include a housing defining a channel with an inlet and an outlet, at least one actuation mechanism simulating provision of medicament, at least one fluid flow rate sensor positioned so as to detect fluid flow in the channel, a signal output component for providing an output to the user, a microprocessor comprising a timekeeping component, a storage medium component associated with the microprocessor comprising a database of instructions pertaining to the sequence and/or timing of steps for using the device stored thereon, one or more program code modules stored on the microprocessor or the storage medium component, or a combination thereof, wherein the one or more program code modules include a first program code module for causing the microprocessor to provide a first instruction, and a second program code module for causing the microprocessor to provide a subsequent instruction based on a current register.

摘要： A medicament delivery system including a container for storing a medicament prior to use is provided. The container includes one or more openings therein, a first housing for containing a medicament, a stopper, a second housing, wherein the first housing is held within the second housing and the first housing is movable relative to the second housing. The system further includes an injection member a spring disposed between a lower portion of the first housing and a lower portion of the second housing, wherein an actuation mechanism interacts with the container to eject the injection member from the second housing, and the stopper moves relative to the first housing in a first direction to deliver the medicament through the injection member, and following injection, the injection member is retracted into the second housing to prevent an unintentional contact with the injection member.

摘要： An intrauterine pulse oximetry apparatus and method are provided to measure fetal blood oxygen saturation at sites in a preferred region on the fetus. The sensor of the apparatus is attached to a stiff cable which can be inserted into the uterus past the presenting part and transcervical region of the fetus. The cable may have visual and tactile markings by which the user, without seeing or feeling the sensor, can guide it to an appropriate site on the fetus and for use in determining the depth of the sensor in the vagina.
