Abstract: Systems and methods for transmission gear shift management of a vehicle having cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) are provided. A method includes: enabling a cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) mode of a vehicle; updating a transmission shift map to adjust at least one threshold associated with a transmission shift event in response to enabling the CACC mode of the vehicle; receiving a torque demand from the vehicle in response to enabling the CACC mode of the vehicle; determining a transmission shift event based on the received torque demand and the updated transmission shift map; and implementing the determined transmission shift event.

Abstract: Systems and methods for data analysis of vehicle data, such as engine data, are provided. A provider computing system includes a communication interface structured to couple to a network, one or more processors, and at least one memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations. The operations include: receiving, from a user device and via the network, a first data packet comprising information associated with a vehicle. The operations also include analyzing the first data packet to output a second data packet comprising repair priority information. The operations also include transforming the second data packet into a human-readable message comprising the repair priority information. The operations also include transmitting, via the communication interface and the network, the human-readable message to the user device.

Abstract: A pressure-based piston top-dead-center (“TDC”) position measurement system is disclosed, comprising: a fuel injector configured to inject fuel into a combustion chamber bounded in part by the piston; and a controller configured to control the fuel injector to cause a fuel injection when the piston is at each of a plurality of different positions relative to TDC while ensuring fuel is provided to the fuel injector at a substantially constant pressure. The controller is further configured to estimate a pressure in the combustion chamber in response to each fuel injection, fit a curve to the estimated pressures, and determine a TDC position of the piston as correlating with a maximum pressure on the curve.

The cell-to-pack battery has: a cell arrangement including one or more cells, the cell arrangement configured to store energy for conversion into electrical energy for use in the high-voltage power system; a thermal management system having at least one of a first cooling plate arranged at a first side of the cell arrangement and a second cooling plate is arranged at a second side of the cell arrangement; and a modular open frame with which to secure the cell arrangement and the thermal management system, the modular open frame including a manifold for vent gas collection and an electrical box that houses a majority of electrical components for the battery pack, each of the manifold and the electrical box being connectible to the cell arrangement.

The system is configured to store a healthy diagnostic vector regarding nominal operational parameters of the vehicle system; acquire diagnostic information regarding current operational parameters of the vehicle system to generate an error diagnostic vector; apply the error diagnostic vector to the healthy diagnostic vector to generate a ratio diagnostic vector; and apply the ratio diagnostic vector to generate a value for each failure mode.

The coating is exposed to exhaust passing through the conduit and to the selective catalytic reduction unit. The coating is configured to capture and deactivate platinum passing through the conduit.

Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for decreasing harmful emissions is provided. The system includes an aftertreatment system configured to receive exhaust gas from an engine system; a heater coupled to the aftertreatment system and configured to provide heat; and a controller coupled to the heater. The controller is configured to: determine that the engine system is idling; in response to determining that the engine system is idling, determine whether a value regarding operation of the engine system is greater than a threshold value; in response to determining that the value is greater than the threshold value, determine whether a temperature regarding the aftertreatment system is greater than a threshold temperature; and in response to determining that the temperature of the aftertreatment system is greater than the threshold temperature, at least one of disable or partially disable the heater.
