Abstract:
A sewing machine includes at least one detecting portion, a processor, and a memory. The at least one detecting portion is configured to detect an ultrasonic wave that has been transmitted from a transmission source. The memory is configured to store computer-readable instructions that instruct the sewing machine to execute steps including identifying a position of the transmission source of the ultrasonic wave based on information pertaining to the ultrasonic wave that has been detected by the at least one detecting portion, and controlling sewing based on the position of the transmission source that has been identified.
Abstract:
A sewing machine includes a sewing portion, a detector, a processor, and a memory. The sewing portion includes a needle bar and a transport portion. The needle bar is configured to have a sewing needle on a lower end. The transport portion is configured to move a work cloth. The detector is configured to detect ultrasonic waves. The memory stores computer-readable instructions that instruct the processor to perform specifying a position of a transmission source of the ultrasonic waves based on the ultrasonic waves that are detected by the detector, specifying sewing information based on the specified position of the transmission source, the sewing information being information that pertains to sewing, and controlling the sewing portion based on the specified sewing information.

Abstract:
A double-row angular contact ball bearing is provided with inner and outer rings, balls in two rows, a cage for holding the balls, and non-contact sealing devices made of a substantially disc-like member. Radial outer end portions of a metallic sealing device are respectively fit and swaged into grooves arranged at both axial end portions of the outer ring's inner circumferential surface. The ratio Ts/Tr is equal to or lower than 0.07, where Ts is the sealing device thickness and Tr is the outer ring thickness at the bottom portion of the groove. In addition, the ball diameter is equal to or greater than 75% of a half a bearing width to equal to or greater than 83% thereof. Furthermore, an axial width Tc of the radial outer end portion having a substantially U-shape is equal to or smaller than 2.7 mm.
Abstract:
A process cartridge comprises an electrophotographic photosensitive drum and a developing roller. A coupling member is provided that receives a rotating force for rotating the electrophotographic photosensitive drum and transmits the rotating force to the electrophotographic photosensitive drum through a drum flange. The drum flange has (i) a first regulated portion capable of being regulated by a first regulating portion, (ii) a second regulated portion capable of being regulated by a second regulating portion, (iii) a connecting portion that is connected with the coupling member so that a rotational axis of the coupling member is inclineable relative to a rotational axis of the drum flange, and (iv) a gear portion that transmits the rotational force from the coupling member to the developing roller.
Abstract:
An electro-optical device provided with a plurality of pixel sections, includes: a first substrate having a plurality of light-emitting elements to configure the plurality of pixel sections; a second substrate having a driving circuit to control light emission of the plurality of light-emitting elements, respectively, and disposed so as to face an element forming surface of the first substrate; and a plurality of conductive connectors provided between the first substrate and the second substrate, and electrically connect the plurality of light-emitting elements, respectively, to the driving circuit. The plurality of conductive connectors are disposed in a staggered manner at least along a first arrangement direction of the plurality of pixel sections.
Abstract:
An electrophoretic device includes: an electrophoretic layer including a plurality of first particles having a relatively high mobility and charged with negative electricity and a plurality of second particles having a relatively low mobility and charged with positive electricity; a first electrode and a second electrode facing each other via the electrophoretic layer; and a control unit applying a first voltage between the first and the second electrodes to control such that the first electrode is at a higher potential than the second electrode and applying a pulse-form second voltage between the first and the second electrodes intermittently a plurality of number of times to control such that the first electrode is at a lower potential than the second electrode, each second voltage applied by the control unit the plurality of number of times having an approximately same pulse width and an approximately same voltage value, as well as the number of times of application of the second voltage being determined based on a desired gradation.
Abstract:
A compound of the formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a hydrate thereof, a solvate thereof, an optically active compound thereof, a racemate thereof or a diastereomer mixture thereof has a superior tyrosine-specific protein kinase inhibitory activity and is useful as a pharmaceutical agent, particularly as an agent for the prophylaxis or treatment of various cancers, psoriasis or diseases caused by arteriosclerosis, and the like.
Abstract:
A process cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, the main assembly including an output contact movable between an electrical connecting position and a retracted position retracted from the electrical connecting position. The process cartridge includes a movable operation member movable relative to a cartridge frame, wherein when the process cartridge is inserted into the main assembly of the apparatus, the movable operation member is engageable with a fixed engageable member fixed in the main assembly of the apparatus to move relative to the cartridge frame, and is engageable with a displaceable engaging portion of the displaceable member to move the output contact from the retracted position to the electrical connecting position; and an input electrical contact for receiving a voltage for enabling the process device by engagement with the output contact moved to the electrical connecting position.
