Abstract: One of more panels of the cabinet include at least one conductive region that is optionally covered by an insulative covering. These conductive regions are coupled to an external power source. Shelves, drawers, other cabinet components, electrical devices in a cabinet (including, but not limited to, a motor, lights, outlet, appliance, sensor, processor, etc.), and the like can further conduct or receive electrical energy by electrically coupling to the conductive regions within the panels of the cabinet, for example, through shelf pins that are inserted into holes in the panels.

Abstract: A liquid level sensing system, including: an input acoustic waveguide, and an output acoustic waveguide, positioned extending into liquid to be sensed; the input waveguide being arranged to receive acoustic energy; an acoustic sensor attached to the output waveguide for sensing acoustic energy at the output waveguide that has been transferred from the input waveguide to the output waveguide by being acoustically coupled by the liquid; and a processor arranged to process timing characteristics of the sensed acoustic energy to determine a measure of the liquid level.

Abstract: Described herein is an apparatus which is, under a range of atmospheric conditions, capable of maintaining the emission of light at a point remote from a light source. Notably, the apparatus is able to heat and distribute a fluid, and by doing so, prevents condensation and ice from forming which could hamper the emission of light. The apparatus comprises a light source and a light emitter, with a light conduit and a fluid conduit running between.A method for using such apparatus is also described.

Abstract: A heater assembly for an ALD or CVD reactor provides protection for an electrical conductor associated with a heating element by using a purge gas to isolate the conductor from the corrosive environment of the reactor chamber. The purge gas is introduced into a sleeve surrounding the conductor and from there is allowed to leak into the reactor chamber to be pumped out with the process gasses. This arrangement avoids the need for airtight seals at the junction of the sleeve and the heating element easing manufacturing requirements and potentially reducing component costs.

Abstract: A composite for use in the aircraft construction industry includes an optical transmission device, such as an optical fiber, embedded within a carrier. The optical transmission device is provided with a high-quality optical interface surface which provides for optical connection to the optical transmission means from outside the carrier. The optical interface surface is provided as part of a micro-optical component which processes the optical signals to improve light extraction from a supply to the optical transmission means. The buried optical transmission device is accessed by a passageway formed in the carrier to the interface surface. If the passageway is formed prior to completion of finishing processes on the composite, a protective plug is provided to close the passageway until the optical connection is required.

Abstract: Systems and methods for concatenating web accessible content may receive a plurality of URLs, user data, user identifying data, metadata, a user message, at least one user intention, and at least one context. The plurality of URLs may be related to a distinct item of web accessible content. The user intention may be a description of a desired action to be taken by future users. The context may be a conceptual frame-of-reference for possible concatenations between the web accessible content. Systems and methods may concatenate the plurality of URLs, user data, user identifying data, metadata, and user intention within the context to create concatenated content; create one or more new URLs for the concatenated content; store the concatenated content or one or more new URLs and user message in the one or more databases; and output the one or more new URLs together with the user message.
