摘要: Provided are infrared reflective films comprising a substrate and at least one infrared reflective layer comprising an aminium radical cation compound in a crystalline state and an organic polymer, wherein the infrared reflective layer has a reflectance peak in the infrared region from 1250 nm to 1700 nm. Such infrared films are stable in their optical properties against degradation by light and moisture. Also provided are solar control window films, security markings, and other optical articles comprising such infrared reflective films. Further provided are methods for making such infrared reflective films.

Preferably, the organic radical cation compound is a salt of an aminium radical cation. The security windows may further comprise one or more layers of a multilayer interference stack of a metal/metal or metal/metal oxide design.

摘要: A two-phase acidic aqueous composition for use as a neutralization layer is generally comprised of a water soluble aqueous phase and a water insoluble particle phase. The particle phase generally comprises a copolymer having recurring units of an organic acid monomer and an organic ester monomer. The aqueous phase comprises a water soluble polymer having recurring units of at least an organic acid monomer. The organic acid monomers selected for the aqueous phase polymer are capable of interacting with the particle phase polymers such that the particle phase polymers are brought into stabilizing, intimate association with the aqueous phase.

摘要: An insulated glass unit (IGU) is provided. The IGU meets the industry standards for impact resistance while significantly reducing the weight of the IGU compared to conventional IGUs. In particular, the two pane IGUs of the present invention can meet or exceed industry standards for various wind storm criteria while reducing the weight and cost of the IGU. The IGU only requires one layer of film to meet the performance of previous IOU designs that require two or more layers of film laminated to two or more surfaces of glass.

Preferably, the organic free radical compound is a salt of an aminium radical cation. One or more layers of the multilayer interference stack may incorporate an aminium radical cation compound. Also provided are security windows that utilize such window films.

摘要: Disclosed is a heat-sealable adhesive label with a built-in spacer and methods of its manufacture. The adhesive label of the present invention includes a substrate having a first surface and a second surface, and an adhesive coating disposed on the first surface of the substrate. The adhesive coating includes an adhesive and a plurality of spacer particles that impart roughness to the adhesive coating. Methods of making and using a heat-sealable adhesive label also are disclosed.
