摘要: A surge relief angle valve (SRA) is disclosed. The surge relief angle valve is held normally-closed by one or more compression spring(s). In certain embodiments the surge relief angle valve includes a body containing a disc and disc seat; a piston and shaft, the piston and shaft in communication with the disc and disc seat; and a spring providing a force against the piston; wherein the spring is enclosed within a housing and wherein the surge relief valve has a closed self-contained hydraulic system containing the piston and shaft, and providing a dampening force against the spring force.

In an example, the wear ring comprises a high-hardness metal ring, the high hardness metal ring having an exterior surface configured to engage the body of gate valve. A polymeric overlay covers at least a portion of the exterior surface of the metal ring, the polymeric overlay forming the final dimensional shape of the wear ring.

Other embodiments are also included herein.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to a combination air valve that uses buoyancy to lift seals into place, preventing media from escaping from the valve. Once the seals are in place, pipeline pressure is used to open and close the valve. The combination air valve includes a low flow vent configured with a pressure equalizing configuration allowing for reduced extrusion forces along the low flow vent, allowing vertical movement of a float shaft at high valve gas pressures with reduced forces.
