Abstract:
A jet weaving machine is proposed in which a weft thread (S) can be inserted by means of a fluid from a weft insertion side (2) to a receiving side (3), including a weaving sley (9), along which a weft insertion path (4) extends, which determines a weft insertion direction (A), and including a monitoring apparatus (20) which is arranged at the receiving side (3) and which comprises two sensor devices (21, 22) for detecting the weft thread (S) or parts of the weft thread respectively, with exactly one of the sensor devices (21) being firmly mounted on the weaving sley (9).
Abstract:
In the method a force F.sub.M is measured which has substantially the same magnitude over the pivotal range depending on the path of the warp and on the geometrical arrangement of the deflection member, of the tensioning member and of the pivot axis. The tension of the warp can thereby be substantially correctly determined independently of the position of the tensioning member by measurement of the force F.sub.M, and the measured value can be directly incorporated into the regulation of the warp let-off.
Abstract:
In a multi-phase weaving machine, an apparatus (16) for monitoring warp yarn movement (3a, 3b) in particular leno warp yarns. The drawing-off movement or the drawing-off speed of the warp yarns (3a, 3b) can be detected by an electronic sensor (6a, 6b; 6c) so that it can in particular be determined whether the drawing-off movement or the drawing-off speed has a very low or relatively large value. If the value is very low, in particular when the warp yarn is standing still while the weaving process is running, it can be concluded that the warp yarn has broken. If the value of the drawing-off speed lies above a preset threshold value it can be concluded that the warp yarn is being driven in an undesired manner so that an error signal (13) is produced in order to interrupt the weaving process.
Abstract:
A thread clamp for a rapier head (1) is presented which contains a clamping part (4) for firmly clamping a weft thread (3) and an actuator (5) for moving the clamping part (4). The actuator (5) includes a ferromagnetic core (12), an armature (11) and at least one winding (13) which is arranged on the core or armature in order to produce a magnetic field in the latter and to move the armature and the clamping part, which is operatively connected to the latter, with the core (12) having two limbs (12.1, 12.2) between which the armature (11) is movably arranged, and with each limb being provided with a permanent magnet (14.1, 14.2) in order to hold the armature at one of the two rest positions in the current-free state of the winding.

Abstract:
A measuring apparatus for the measurement of the cloth tension in weaving machines comprises a probe element and a guide part to which the probe element is connected in order to guide the probe element. The measuring apparatus furthermore comprises a holder to which the guide part is secured and a sensor element which is in contact with the probe element in such a manner that a force which acts on the probe element causes a corresponding change in the sensor element. In this the guide part is attached at one side to the holder, the probe element is spaced from the attachment of the guide part, and the measuring apparatus is executed as a module.
Abstract:
A linear motor for controlling motions of thread being woven on a weaving machine is disclosed. The linear motor contains a stator (1) which produces a magnetic field, an armature (2) which is arranged in the magnetic field, and two flexible mounting parts (3) which are arranged parallel to one another in such a manner that the armature which is connected to the mounting parts is movable relative to the stator. The linear motor drives a member that can contact the thread and thereby influence its motion.
Abstract:
A power supply for a rapier head (1) of a rapier weaving machine, which is connected to a rapier bar which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction or to a band (2) which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction, is presented. The power supply includes an inductive coupling device with at least one primary induction coil (8) and with at least one secondary induction coil (9) which can be inductively coupled to the primary induction coil, with the secondary induction coil (9) being formed on the rapier bar or on the band (2) respectively.
