    摘要: A pipe and fitting coupling system includes a first pipe, a second pipe, and a joint. A receiving end of the second pipe includes a first flange, a second flange, a groove, and a sealant. The second flange extends further than the first flange. The groove is disposed at the pipe diameter and between the first flange and the second flange. The first flange has an inwardly angled face to meet the groove and the second flange has an outwardly angled face to meet the groove. The sealant is disposed in the groove to seal the plain end of the first pipe in the receiving end. The joint is formed by the cooperative alignment of the plain end being inserted into the receiving end and being sealed by the sealant.

    摘要: A tube support bracket that comprises an aluminum-coated steel support bracket formed having a circular tube-receiving aperture and an annular, castellated collar abutting the aperture. The aperture and collar are sized for receiving therethrough in close-fitting relationship an aluminum alloy heat exchanger tube. The collar, formed by a draw-punching process, has a plurality of spaced-apart, axial tabs sized for swaging against in hoop stress and bite the received tube. An inner surface of each of the collar tabs being has at least one axial groove therein, the groove being configured for receiving exterior regions of the received tube when the collar is swaged tightly against the tube to thereby lock the tube in the collar and thus in the support bracket. A corresponding method for making a tube support is disclosed.

In another embodiment, the three sets of wheels of the feed and tension unit are configured to provide a simplified “V-shaped” strap path that reduces bending of the strap, thereby reducing friction and consequent feeding difficulties. In another embodiment, the feed and tension unit includes inner and outer guides that form a strap channel through the feed and tension unit to provide easy access to the strap path for clearing the strap path in the event of a jam. In another embodiment, a track assembly includes a plurality of sections providing modularity of construction. Each section includes a backplate attached to at least one support member, and a slotted cover pivotably attached to the at least one support member proximate the backplate and moveable between an open position spaced apart from the backplate and a closed position proximate the backplate. In another embodiment, a cutting assembly for severing strap material includes a press platen and a cutter having a first cutting blade along a first edge thereof and a second cutting blade along a second edge thereof, the cutter being removably and variably engaged to the press platen.

An associated method is disclosed for forming the bright metallized laminate that includes the steps of casting a polyvinylidene difluoride-acrylic film to a polymeric substrate, depositing a discontinuous layer of indium islands upon the polyvinylidene difluoride-acrylic film, placing a polymeric film onto the discontinuous layer of indium islands, and press polishing the polyvinylidene difluoride-acrylic film and the discontinuous indium layer. The polyvinylidene difluoride-acrylic film demonstrates a roughness average (RA) of about 0.75 micron or less, and a distinctness of image (DOI) of about 95 or more.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for fabricating an externally finned tubular heat exchanger assembly comprising two concentric thin walled tubular members defining therebetween an intermediate inner annular fluid flow channel, and positionally fixed therewithin an internal turbulizer strip extending longitudinally in a helical spiral. The tubulizer strip is embossed with corrugations prior to installation into the intermediate inner annular fluid flow channel. The corrugated strip is helically spiraled with sequential bridge gap spaces between adjacent serial turns wherein the corrugations form a series of triangular cross-sectional fluid flow passageways. Turbulizer corrugation expansion, after insertion into the inner intermediate annular fluid flow channel, mechanically anchors the corrugated turbulizer strip to the second inner concentric tubular member that has an end groove to provide engagement connection. The turbulizer is utilized to vary conductance and thus control fluid flow through the tubular inner channel of the second concentric tubular member. External fins are attached to the exterior circumferential surface of the first outer concentric tubular subassembly member to further enhance heat exchange.
