    摘要: A primacord detonator having a protective containing sleeve removably mounted thereon. The rear portion of the sleeve encloses the detonator, and a forward portion of the sleeve forms an explosive energy absorbing chamber with energy absorbing material therein. Upon accidental explosion the wall of the detonator adjacent the charge therein deforms outwardly to interlock with the sleeve wall and hold the sleeve onto the detonator to absorb the explosive charge.

    摘要: A blasting device adapted to be carried and operated within a person''s hand, the device comprising a small rectangular case having on its top surface an operating switch, an indicating light and a pair of binding posts. The case contains a pair of batteries and a capacitor. The switch is movable to a first position to connect the indicating light and the capacitor in parallel relationship to the batteries so as to charge the capacitor, with the indicating light being lit while the batteries are imposing a voltage across the capacitor, and the switch is movable to a second detonating position in which the charge of the capacitor is imposed across the binding posts so that when leads from the binding posts are connected to a detonator with explosive charge, the explosive is detonated.

A detonating cord is arranged in sufficient proximity to the rupturable wall so that detonation of the cord ruptures the wall to cause mixing of the two components to make an explosive mixture.     摘要: An intrinsically non-explosive liquid constituent of an explosive composition is contained within a can. The can is located inside of a plastic bottle. In the field an intrinsically non-explosive solid constituent of the explosive composition is poured from a separate container into a space in the bottle above the cam. The user presses down on the capped top of the bottle to move a downwardly projecting cutter carried by an upper portion of the bottle downwardly and through the top of the can. Following cutting the bottle is turned upside down and/or shaken to cause a mixing of the two constituents of the explosive composition. The resulting explosive is a liquid which can be poured from the bottle and then detonated by a conventional detonator, or detonated while still in the bottle.

    摘要: Rigid and flexible container type portable devices incorporating an intrinsically nonexplosive solid constituent of an explosive composition. Sensitizing of the device at the site of use by adding thereto a complementary intrinsically nonexplosive liquid constituent of the explosive composition, for admixing with the solid constituent. Such devices including built-in electrical initiators or fuse wells. Such devices constructed for coupling with a similar container containing the liquid constituent in a frangible capsule, including means for cutting or fracturing the capsule when the containers are moved together, and means for preventing fluid leakage from the assembly or the device. Such two container devices which are joinable in a first prearm, nonmixing position, and are movable into a second mixing position, in which the frangible capsule is fractured.
