    摘要： A mobile device can connect with a wired or wireless network through an accessory transceiver. In some embodiments, the mobile device can receive user input through the user interface and can connect with a network using the accessory transceiver. The mobile device and the accessory transceiver can be physically coupled together using a cable or other connector (e.g., USB connector), or the mobile device and the accessory transceiver can be wirelessly coupled together using a wireless protocol (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi). Moreover, in to connect with one network and can use an accessory transceiver to connect with a different network.

    摘要： Remote user interfaces for portable media devices provided improved access by accessories to media assets and metadata stored in a database of a portable media device, enhancing a user's ability to control operation of the portable media device using a remote user interface provided by the accessory. In one example, an accessory can determine whether the database of the portable media device was updated while the portable media device was disconnected from the accessory. In a second example, an accessory can create and manage a playlist for the portable media device and can incorporate into the playlist tracks already queued for playback when the accessory connects to the portable media device. In a third example, an accessory can obtain database navigation history and initialize a database navigation interface to match the database navigation history.

An accessory protocol that is generic to the mobile computing device can be used for some communication. An application executing at the mobile computing device can communicate with the accessory using an application communication protocol. In some embodiments, the application communication protocol can be different from the accessory communication protocol. In other embodiments the application protocol may only be recognized by the application and the accessory. In some embodiments, messages conforming to an application protocol can be communicated between the application and the accessory by packaging the messages inside a message conforming to the accessory communication protocol.
