This invention presented a bonding guide with guiding features and insertion tools with alignment mechanism and guiding features that ensure the brackets will be placed onto right positions regardless the actual shape and dimensions of the brackets.

    摘要: A method and system to evaluate image-guided dental implant treatment plans with error simulation. Error sources contributing to the inaccuracy of implant cases come from impressions, stone models, radiographic guides, CT scan and its image processing, surgical guides, as well as the surgical procedures. They are translated into the deviations between the planned and actual implant positions and orientations. The error simulation is to continuously modify and update treatment plans with the possible deviations so that the treatment plans can be visually evaluated along with other evaluation tools.

    摘要: A method and a dental implant treatment planning and surgical guide design system based on a full anatomy model (FAM). A FAM consists of models for bones, teeth, and nerves, and a virtual stone model. A virtual stone model is not only a surface model of the soft tissue and tooth surfaces of a patient, but also a color map of tissue thickness data. It also contains the insert direction of a surgical guide. The treatment planning and surgical guide system uses the full anatomy model as a unique reference throughout the workflow. Its implant placement, restoration preview and surgical guide design are all based on the anatomy model.

These devices are used to test for a variety of analytes, such as drugs of abuse, hormones, proteins, urine or plasma components and the like. The present invention provides an improved procedural control that indicates to the test user that at least a portion of the applied sample has passed through the test result zone of the test strip, and optionally that the test is complete and the test results may be read.

    摘要: A hybrid method for dental implant treatment planning and a corresponding approach to make a surgical guide. After digital treatment planning is performed with CT scan data, a master model is created, which embodies the patient anatomy and entire treatment plan. Jaw bone, tooth surfaces, soft tissues and nerves are all contained by the master model. The plan details including implant sizes and positions, surgical guide drill options, as well as the choice of a surgical kit, are all conveyed by the master model. Meanwhile, models of specially designed “implant inserts (or replicas)” are also generated, which have one end that fits into the implant holes on the master model and another end to make the surgical guide. The master model and inserts are manufactured with rapid prototyping technology. A surgical guide is later on made from them with conventional lab processes. A main characteristic of this approach is that the master model and the inserts are the physical embodiment of a virtual treatment plan. With them, the surgeons can continue the treatment planning for operations like tooth extractions and bone modifications before making the surgical guides. Therefore the treatment planning workflow is a combination of digital treatment planning and a physical model based planning, in other words, a hybrid approach. A differentiator in this invention is the generation of a closed solid model of the soft tissue, as part of the master model, from the scan data. This approach can be applied to create both bone-borne and tissue-borne surgical guides with low cost process, which is a big advantage over other approaches.

    摘要: A method for detecting DNA variation. First, by aligning trace data of a sample DNA sequence to trace data of a reference DNA sequence to produce an aligned sample DNA sequence. Then, inputting the trace data of the bases of both the reference DNA sequence and the aligned sample DNA sequence for a particular frame number into a non-linear mathematical function of an anti-correlation calculation scheme for all the frame numbers. Minimal values will be produced at the particular frame number for DNA base trace data of the aligned sample DNA sequence which are not a variation as compared to the reference DNA sequence. Values above the minimal values will be produced at the particular frame number for DNA base trace data of the aligned sample DNA sequence which are a variation as compared to the reference DNA sequence.
