    Abstract: A modular tile is disclosed configured to interlock with multiple tiles to form a modular floor covering over a floor. The tile includes improved grip and bounce characteristics. The tile may include an upper contact surface having rib with top edges that are sharp. Protrusions may extend from the upper contact surface to provide grip and increase ball bounce performance. The tile may be made of a composite of rigid plastic and rubber to improper bounce characteristics, including by increasing the degree to which the tile conforms with a subfloor.

    Abstract: A floor panel includes male and female coupling means that are formed by at least one proximal groove that opens onto a lower face or upper face, respectively, of the panel and by a distal flexible tongue that extends from the end of the edge of the panel towards the lower face or upper face, respectively. The tongue has a proximal wall inclined at an angle with respect to a vertical plane towards the bottom and the outside of the panel and towards the top and the outside of the panel, respectively. The tongue of at least one of the male coupling means or female coupling means has a distal wall that includes, at least, a protrusion or a notch that is able to engage with a notch or a protrusion formed in or on a proximal wall of the proximal groove of the corresponding female coupling means or male coupling means so as to form an end stop, avoiding vertical movement of a panel with respect to an adjacent panel. The flexible tongue of the female coupling means comprises a chamfered part that forms an angle of between 2° and 20° with respect to the main plane of the panel.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for laying a floor covering that includes a flexible material containing a thermoplastic wear layer made from, in particular, plasticised PVC. The basic panels that form the covering are glued to the ground and cold welded in between on the site to be covered. After a panel has been positioned and glued to the surface to be covered, a continuous bead of mastic, which is made on the actual site by mixing a hardener and a polyurethane resin in aqueous phase, is applied laterally along the entire depth of the covering. The next panel is positioned on the ground which is covered with adhesive and the lateral edge thereof is pinned against the edge of the preceding panel comprising the bead of mastic, thereby causing the excess material to come to the surface, where it is removed by simply wiping with water.

    Abstract: A multilayer structure for creating a floor covering includes at least one surface layer bonded to a backing layer, both the surface layer and the backing layer being made of PVC. The multilayer structure successively includes, from top to bottom, between the surface layer and the backing layer, a first woven reinforcement, an intermediate layer, a second woven reinforcement, all bonded to each other, to the surface layer, and to the backing layer by means of bonding layers in the form of thermofusible films, for example, copolyamide or copolyester, or cross-linked polyurethane adhesive layers. The multilayer structure has a surface mass between 2000 and 3000 g/m2.
