    Abstract: Sheet product dispensers provided herein include a spindle mounted to a spindle mounting arm. A pressure plate positioned at least partially within the spindle mounting arm aligns with a roll of sheet product installed on the spindle. When the spindle mounting arm is in a dispensing state and the pressure plate is unextended, the pressure plate is configured to prevent rotation of the spindle mounting arm to a loading state, and, when the spindle mounting arm is in the dispensing state and the pressure plate is extended, the pressure plate is configured to allow transition of the spindle mounting arm to the loading state. Force from the roll of sheet product causes the pressure plate to remain unextended, and a sufficient amount of sheet product from the roll of sheet product having been depleted removes the force such that the pressure plate becomes extended.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for providing a sheet product dispenser with automated product level tracking functionality are provided herein. Various product level sensors are disclosed herein including a product level sensor configured to emit a signal toward an outer circumference of a sheet product roll on a spindle extending along a longitudinal axis and to receive a reflected signal. The product level sensor is positioned a radial distance away from the spindle and aimed to emit the signal in a direction that is not parallel and not perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The product level sensor detects a parameter of the reflected signal corresponding to the distance between the product level sensor and the sheet product roll. Other example embodiments include mechanical product level sensors. Various communication protocols may be employed to limit transmission of data to conserve battery life while still maintaining desired communication functionality.

A sheet product dispenser comprises a housing configured to hold a plurality of folded sheet products, a biasing element, and a ramp.     Abstract: An apparatus for lidding an open container includes a housing, a feed mechanism, and a sealing assembly. The housing is configured to support a roll of a film lidding material. The feed mechanism is configured to communicate a portion of the film lidding material from the housing toward a dispense location. The sealing assembly is attached to the housing and configured to present the film lidding material for interaction with an open end of a container disposed underneath and proximate thereto. The sealing assembly is movable relative to the housing between a first position vertically above the open end of the container and a second position suitable for establishing contact between the film lidding material and the open end and enabling sealing of the film lidding material around the open end. The sealing assembly is configured for substantially vertical translation between the first position and the second position.

    Abstract: A method of making a tissue basesheet includes: (a) forming a nascent web from an aqueous furnish of papermaking fiber; (b) applying an aqueous composition of nanofibrillar cellulose to a surface of the nascent web; and (c) drying the nascent web to provide the tissue basesheet. Typically the basesheet is constructed with a tissue substrate of cellulosic papermaking fiber having applied to a surface thereof a layer of nanofibrillar cellulose, the tissue substrate having a basis weight of from 15 g/m2 to 30 g/m2 and the layer of nanofibrillar cellulose having a coatweight of from 0.25 g/m2 to 3 g/m2. The product may be incorporated into 2-ply or 3-ply bath tissue.

    Abstract: A method of making a fibrous sheet includes providing a first furnish including a primary pulp having papermaking fibers, the papermaking fibers (i) having a weight-weighted average fiber length between about two and seven tenths millimeters and about three millimeters, (ii) a coarseness of about sixteen milligrams per one hundred meters or lower, and (iii) being at least eighty percent of the papermaking fibers of the first furnish, forming a nascent web having at least two layers, one of the at least two layers being (i) a surface layer of the nascent web and (ii) formed from the first furnish, dewatering the nascent web to form a dewatered web, applying the surface layer of the dewatered web to the outer surface of a Yankee drum of a Yankee dryer, and drying the dewatered web with the Yankee dryer to form a fibrous sheet.
