    Abstract: An automatic transmission fluid tester determines the remaining service life of automatic transmission fluid. The tester includes a radiation source for emitting radiation in the direction of an automatic transmission fluid sample under test, and a radiation receiver for detecting radiation passed through the sample. Based on the output of the radiation receiver, the tester measures the opacity of the sample. The remaining service life of the automatic transmission fluid is determined as a function of the measured opacity.

    Abstract: A clamp structure that provides versatility and structural adaptability to different clamping surfaces. A tension member can be coupled to the inside of a tubular body at one end and to a rod at the other end. Removable grips can be coupled to the ends of the body, but are not directly coupled to the tension member so that changing the grips can be done without removing the tension member from its anchored position. The grips can, in some embodiments, be pivotable so as to accommodate a variety of different gripping surfaces.     Abstract: A linearly moving external part of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine is contacted with a hand-held contact tachometer for producing a waveform signal which, along with a signal responsive to the ignition of each cylinder, are applied to an engine analyzer processor for display of a single engine cycle of the waveform signal on the CRT oscilloscope of the engine analyzer. The variations and amplitude of the waveform signal correspond to speed variations of the moving part over an engine cycle to give an indication of the relative power contributions of the individual cylinders. Cylinder ignition markers and cylinder zone markers are respectively displayed at the top and bottom of the screen, respectively corresponding to the cylinders in their ignition order. Each cylinder zone marker is delayed a predetermined time from its corresponding cylinder ignition marker and indicates the time period during which the engine responds to the ignition event of the corresponding cylinder.
