摘要: The present invention relates to a novel approach for treating coronavirus infections, particularly infections caused by MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 variants. Based on effectively targeting and cleaving single stranded RNA viruses, the present invention provides Cas13d guide RNAs, to guide the Cas13d protein to a target site in the genome of humanized Coronaviridae that is conserved between MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2. The disclosed invention further provides an AAV vector comprising such a Cas13d guide RNA expression cassette as well as a Cas13d for treating coronavirus infections, especially COVID-19 infections.

摘要: A set of pre-annotated medical images is received, and the received set is processed by automatically: training an AI-based uncertainty model using the received set as training data; processing medical images of the received set by determining classified segments and/or uncertainty regions in the medical images using the trained AI-based uncertainty model; selecting at least a part of the processed medical images including classified segments and/or uncertainty regions based on the processing result; and presenting the selected part of processed medical images to a human expert. Furthermore, a modified received set including additional annotations created by the human expert is received.

摘要: A well plate comprises a plate main body and at least one cavity in an upper side of the plate main body. An upwardly open annular channel is formed in the at least one cavity, the annular channel being delimited at an inner circumference thereof by a closed circumferential wall. 摘要: The present invention relates to the diagnosis and treatment of joint-related diseases, in particular osteoarthritis. Based on the analysis of the microarchitecture, such as microchannels, of the subchondral bone, the present invention provides methods for evaluating the health state of a joint as well as determining whether a joint is prone to develop or has already developed a disease correlated to joint and cartilage destruction. The invention further provides for membranes and other implants mimicking healthy subchondral bone structure suitable for promoting regeneration of joint structure and function.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to novel therapeutic approaches for the prevention, treatment and/or delaying progression of chronic injury, progressive loss of functional parenchymal cells, or fibrosis of an organ. 摘要: In a method for producing transparent biological preparations for examination by light microscopy biological tissue is electrophoretically clarified in that the tissue is immersed in an aqueous alkaline electrophoresis solution and is exposed to an electric field in the electrophoresis solution. The electrophoresis solution contains a buffer base, the cations of which have a molecular weight of at least 50 Da, at a concentration of 5 to 100 mol/m3 and a non-ionic detergent at a concentration of 0.1 to 10% (w/v).
