摘要: Systems, methods, models, and training data for models are discussed, for determining vehicle positioning, and in particular identifying tailgating. Simulated training images showing vehicles following other vehicles, under various conditions, are generated using a virtual environment. Models are trained to determine following distance between two vehicles. Trained models are used to in detection of tailgating, based on determined distance between two vehicles. Results of tailgating are output to warn a driver, or to provide a report on driver behavior.

摘要: Systems and methods for validating telematics device installations are provided. The systems and methods involve operating at least one processor to: receive, from an installer, a device identifier corresponding to a telematics device; determine whether telematics data was received from the telematics device based at least on the device identifier; in response to determining that telematics data was received from the telematics device: present an indication to the installer that the telematics device was correctly installed in the vehicle; receive, from the installer, vehicle information associated with the vehicle; and store the vehicle information in association with the device identifier; and in response to determining that telematics data was not received from the telematics device: present an indication to the installer that the telematics device was not correctly installed in the vehicle; and store installation information in association with the device identifier.

摘要: A method and apparatus for use in a mobile device telemetry system is disclosed. The method and apparatus relate to aspects in a mobile device protocol health monitoring system. The method and apparatus provide a system to monitor and assess protocol health, log protocol health data and communicate the logs of protocol health data to a remote system. The system may also take corrective actions based upon specific indications of protocol health. The method and apparatus also provides protocol health indications and corrective actions based upon monitoring the message transmission rate. The method and apparatus also provides protocol health indications and corrective actions based upon monitoring for a line disconnect.

摘要: A host electronic device that supports both Universal Serial Bus (USB) and Controller Area Network (CAN) connections is provided. The host electronic device drives at least one USB signal line and measures the voltage thereof. When the measured voltage indicates a USB connection from a peripheral device, the host electronic device determines that the peripheral device is a USB device. Otherwise, the host electronic device determines that the peripheral device is a CAN device.

摘要: A method and a device for low-power acceleration detection in a stationary vehicle are provided. The method includes putting a telematics device into a sleep mode, performing a plurality of micro wakeups during which a plurality of accelerometer readings are captured. The method further includes sending the plurality of accelerometer readings over a network interface to a telematics server. The telematics device which carries out the method has a controller, memory, and network interface. An accident impact profile may be recorded during the micro wakeups and sent during a regular wakeup duration for analysis by the telematics server.

摘要: A method for inferring a status asset information from data of a first type gathered by a first asset tracking device is provided. The method includes determining that a first asset tracking device coupled to a first asset and a second asset tracking device coupled to a second asset are travelling together, that the first asset tracking device has a first operating mode, and that the second asset tracking device has a second operating mode, which is different from the first operating mode of the first asset tracking device. In response, the second asset tracking device enters into a low-power mode in which it either does not gather data of the first type or does so at a reduced rate. Status information related to the second asset may be inferred from data of the first type gathered by the first asset tracking device.
