摘要: The present invention pertains to a bogie for high-speed railborne vehicles, in which the wheel sets are guided on the bogie frame by double leaf spring wheel forks. Stable, quiet straight travel of the bogie over straight sections at top speeds and radial adjustment of the wheel sets in rail bends at low tracking forces is achieved by arranging a a roll stabilizer damping the horizontal longitudinal movements between the axle bearing and the bogie frame between the leaf spring wheel forks of each double leaf spring wheel fork.

摘要: A freight car is constructed with an undercarriage having a flat cargo floor and with an upright fixed end wall at each end of the floor. A gantry in the form of an arch extends upwardly from the floor substantially centrally between the end walls and a hood support rail extends between the fixed end walls on each side of the floor. The space above the floor is covered by a hood which is of a length to extend between the gantry and one end wall and which includes a roof portion which overlies the gantry and the one end wall and side wall portions which extend downwardly from each side of the roof. The side wall portions carry rollers or casters which are engageable with the rail for supporting the hood for movement along the rail. The hood may be moved when it is in an open position along the rail for example to completely uncover the space between the gantry and one end wall. Two hoods are advantageously employed, each of which is movable along the rail when they are positioned in an opened position but only alternatively. When they are in a closed position an actuator lifts the side wall of the hood upwardly to move the casters off the rail and to move the side wall inwardly toward the edge of the floor into a closed position.

摘要: A bogie or truck for high-speed rail vehicles or railway cars includes an H-shaped bogie or truck frame, primary springs cushioning the bogie frame, and a lateral bolster being movable relative to the bogie frame, receiving a coach or car body and being cushioned relative to the bogie or truck frame by air springs. The object is to provide a bogie with a low number of contact points with the coach body, which allows a configuration for rotational retardation, which has a minimum structural width and low weight, which permits small air spring bellows, which allows the installation of additional air reservoirs for the air springs below the lateral bolster and which has additional assemblies disposed at locations which keep the bearing components free from bending or torsional stresses. According to the invention, each air spring is supported directly on the side wall of the bogie frame. The lateral bolster carries friction plates on its upper surface near its transverse ends above its bearing on the air spring for supporting the coach body. The lateral bolster is movable relative to the bogie frame only vertically and horizontally transversely within a defined path and is guided horizontally in the longitudinal direction with play in guides of the bogie frame. The lateral bolster is connected to the coach body through a journal which transmits only horizontal forces, and can be freely rotated with the bogie frame relative to the coach body.

摘要: The invention relates to a railroad freight car having hoods covering the freight room which slide over each other and lie in one plane in the closed position. The hoods are liftable, swivelable and can be put down on rollers which engage rails by means of an actuation arrangement. The hoods, are split at their apex where they have joints and a sealing element. The railroad freight car is provided with separation walls for securing of a load. The separation walls, are movable on rollers running in rails on the freight floor, on both sides of the center portal in the freight floor and can be arrested at the bottom by releasable pegs in the floor and at the top by means of swivelable locking cams in the hood.

摘要: A bunker closure door mechanism for a bunker housing which has an opening with a seat around the opening which is closed by a closure door body, comprises, first and second spaced apart end levers which are pivotally connected between the housing and one end of the door. In addition, central levers are pivotally connected to the door body intermediate its length and pivotally connected at their opposite ends to a toggle lever which is pivotally mounted on the housing. The door body carries guide pins which are engageable in vertical slots of guide members supported on the bunker housing. By means of an actuator in the form of a fluid-pressure operated piston and cylinder connection, a guide rod is actuated to engage the central lever intermediate its length and to pivot it about its connection to the toggle lever and to also shift the toggle lever over its dead center position. The guide pins ensure that the door is held initially in engagement while the toggle lever is shifted beyond its dead end position to permit lowering of the central lever and the door and then subsequent shifting of the door on its pivotal connections by the end levers to a position at which it may be placed on the side of the bunker housing.
