    摘要: A read unit 201 reads a digital stream that includes a left-view video stream and a right-view video stream from a recording medium. A mode storage unit 203 stores either a 3D mode to show a user video frames in stereoscopic view or a 2D mode to show a user video frames in monoscopic view as a playback mode of the apparatus. A dimension determining unit 202 determines whether the digital stream read from the recording medium supports 3D mode. When (i) the digital stream supports 3D mode and (ii) the current playback mode is 3D mode, a demultiplexer 204 separates the left-view video stream and the right-view video stream from the digital stream, and when condition (i) or (ii) is not met, the demultiplexer 204 separates either the left-view video stream or the right-view video stream from the digital stream.

    摘要: A video plane generation unit decodes stream data into a pair of left-view and right-view video planes, and outputs the pair alternately in a 3D display mode and either of the pair repeatedly in a pseudo 2D display mode. An image plane generation unit generates a pair of left-view and right-view image planes having an OSD at different horizontal locations according to its depth to be perceived, and alternately output the pair of image planes. A pseudo 2D display control unit instructs the video plane generation unit to operate in the 3D display mode and the pseudo 2D display mode in periods where the image plane generation unit does not and does output the image planes, respectively. The adder unit combines a video plane and an image plane generated by the video plane generation unit and the image plane generation unit, respectively, onto a frame, and outputs the frame.

    摘要: Inconsistency between a left-view video image and a right-view video image possibly occurs in a playback device having a function of switching between a monoscopic playback mode for monoscopically playing back video images and a stereoscopic playback mode for stereoscopically playing back video images. The present invention aims to prevent such inconsistency when switching from the monoscopic playback mode to the stereoscopic playback mode. Specifically, the present invention prevents the inconsistency by invalidating a rendering request which is Graphics#drawImage, copying a content stored in the left-view graphics plane to a right-view graphics plane, switching a graphics plane setting after the copying, and then removing prohibition of a rendering request which is StereoGraphics#drawImage.

    摘要: A image providing device provides a user with realistic and natural past-experience simulation through stereoscopic photographs. Specifically, feature-point extractors extract feature points from a foreground image and a background image, respectively. A stereoscopic matching module searches for pairs of feature points matching between the foreground image and the background image and obtains using the feature point pairs a transformation matrix for projecting the foreground image onto the background image. The transformation by the transformation matrix obtained by the matching unit is applied to foreground depth data, which is depth data of the foreground image. Lastly, depth based rendering is performed based on the transformed foreground depth data to obtain two or more viewpoint images corresponding to the foreground image.

    摘要: In performing stereoscopic view, a shift information memory stores, as a number of pixel lengths, an offset indicating how far in a right direction or a left direction to move coordinates of pixels to realize stereoscopic view. When realizing stereoscopic view, a plane shift engine moves the coordinates of image data in a graphics plane in the right direction or the left direction by the number of pixel lengths indicated by the offset. When a scale of video data targeted for stereoscopic view is changed by a basic graphics plane, a shift distance of pixel coordinates by the plane shift engine is based on a number of pixel lengths obtained by multiplying the offset by a changed scaling factor in the horizontal direction.
