The terminal providing a virtual reality linking service according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a user information inputting unit receiving user information; a receiving unit receiving a virtual reality linking service including a sensory effect for each object and a rendering result corresponding to the user information; a real object characteristic information generating unit generating real object characteristic information by extracting a sensitive characteristic stimulating senses of people from a real object which really exists around the user; an object motion information generating unit generating object motion information by recognizing a physical motion of the real object; and a transmitting unit providing the user information, the real object characteristic information, and the object motion information.

Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for separating a foreground and a background. The apparatus includes a background model creation unit for creating a code book including a plurality of code words in order to separate the foreground and the background, and a foreground/background separation unit for separating the foreground and the background using the created code book. The method includes the steps of creating a code book including a plurality of code words in order to separate the foreground and the background, rearranging the cord words of the created code book on the basis of the number of sample data that belong to each of the code words, and separating the foreground and the background using the code book.

A method of reconstructing a 3D model includes reconstructing a 3D voxel-based visual hull model using input images of an object captured by a multi view camera; converting the 3D voxel-based visual hull model into a mesh model; and generating a result of view-dependent rendering of a 3D model by performing the view-dependent texture mapping on the mesh model obtained through the conversion. Further, the reconstructing includes defining a 3D voxel space to be reconstructed; and excluding voxels not belonging to the object from the defined 3D voxel space.

A system for measuring a communication quality and a method thereof are disclosed. The system includes: a first communication quality measuring unit for requesting a second communication quality measuring unit to transmit a test traffic, measuring a communication quality from the test traffic received from the second communication quality measuring unit as a response of the request, and controlling a generation frequency and an amount of test traffic for a next communication quality measuring stage by analyzing the measured communication quality; and the second communication quality measuring unit for generating a test traffic by controlling a generation frequency and an amount of the test traffic according to a request of the first communication quality measuring unit.

A method of authoring experiential learning content includes displaying an authoring window to author the experiential learning content when a request is made to author the experiential learning content; and creating a virtual world by loading and arranging 3D objects and a 2D objects, in the authoring window, which corresponds to a scenario of the experiential learning content. Further, the method includes defining an Action-zone that determines a position where a user is merged in the virtual world; and defining a state by dividing the scenario into a plurality of steps as time goes by based on the scenario to play the experiential learning content from a specific time point, respectively. Furthermore, the method includes defining a processing routine of an event occurred in the state; and authoring the experiential learning content according to the defined Action-zone, the defined state, and the defined processing routine.

The invention provides a camera controlling and image storing apparatus for synchronized multiple image acquisition and method thereof, which cut down equipment costs by taking a software approach with respect to various demands of viewers for a broadcasting image. A camera controlling and image storing apparatus, the apparatus includes an image acquiring unit for acquiring synchronized images from multiple cameras losslessly, one or more ingest agents for storing the acquired images, and controlling pan, tilt and zoom operations of the cameras based on the acquired images, and a central server for transmitting a control command to the ingest agents, and receiving and integrating collectively the stored images of the ingets agent.
