摘要： A suspension band assembly to be used to support a hard hat on a head of a user. The suspension band assembly includes a primary support loop to receive the head of the user therein. An electronic peripheral is fixedly secured to the primary support loop. An attachment strap extends out from the primary support loop to a strap distal end. An anchor is fixedly secured to the strap distal end for securing the attachment strap to the hard hat. An electrical anchor contact is fixedly secured to the anchor to provide an electrical connection between the hard hat and the electronic peripheral located on the primary support loop.

摘要： A method for alerting a user of a first portable communications assembly that another user of a second portable communications assembly is within a predetermined distance includes the step of receiving a distance signal transmitted by the transmitter in the second portable communications assembly. A distance between the first and second portable communications assemblies based on the distance signal is calculated based on the strength of the distance signal or based on a time stamp embedded in the distance signal. An alert is emitted when the distance calculated between the first and second portable communications assemblies is less than the predetermined distance.

摘要： A hard hat assembly is designed to be worn on a head of a user. The hard hat assembly includes a helmet shaped to cover an upper portion of the head of the user. The helmet defines a primary opening to receive the head therein. The helmet also defines a periphery about the primary opening. A brim extends outwardly from the helmet adjacent the periphery to a brim outer edge. A brim panel is removably securable to the brim and, along with the brim, creates one or more compartments between the brim and the brim panel. 摘要： A wearable communications assembly is worn by a user and includes a wearable device adapted to be worn by an individual in a defined area. A contextual sensor such as an environmental sensor is affixed to the wearable device in a manner such that the contextual sensor senses a condition of the defined area. The contextual sensor creates a contextual signal. The wearable communications assembly also includes a storage device electrically connected to the contextual sensor for receiving and storing the contextual signal such for download when the wearable communications assembly is in communication with system apart from the wearable communications assembly. The communication between the wearable communications assembly and the system apart therefrom may be wireless and/or wired.
