Abstract: The present invention is directed to the field of immunotherapy. Specifically, the invention provides improved cell compositions and methods for adoptive cell therapy, useful in the treatment of cancer. More specifically, embodiments of the invention employ the use of cell compositions comprising a high proportion of activated cytotoxic CD8+ cells and in particular CD8+NKG2D+granzyme-B+ cells characterized by enhanced cytotoxicity, to processes for their preparation from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC), and to their use in cancer management.

Abstract: The present invention provides compositions and methods for treating, preventing, and inhibiting viral replication, viral infections and viral diseases and disorders, comprising use of artemisone in combination with at least one antiviral compound selected from maribavir, cidofovir, brincidofovir, valganciclovir, and letermovir, and the combination provides a synergistic anti-viral effect. The invention also provides compositions and methods for treating, preventing, and inhibiting viral replication, viral infections and viral diseases and disorders, comprising the use of artemisone in combination with ganciclovir, wherein the molar ratio between artemisone and ganciclovir is about 1:100 to 100:1, and the combination provides a synergistic anti-viral effect.
