In one embodiment, an integrated, closed-loop rigsite analysis system is provided for acquiring and analyzing real-time mud logging and downhole data, and displaying in real-time values of one or more operator-controllable parameters, along with dynamic critical values of at least one controllable operating parameter, thereby enabling an operator to modulate such parameter on a real-time basis to optimize operation. 摘要: Wellbore equipment used in oil and gas operations can be negatively affected by corrosive fluids. Coatings can be applied to the equipment to help protect the equipment. A field test can be used at a wellsite to ensure the coating is effective. Due to the HSE risks of the corrosive fluids, a proxy fluid can be used instead. The proxy fluid can have similar chemical or physical properties and simulate the corrosive fluid that is anticipated to be present in the wellbore. The wellbore equipment that is coated can be sealed to create a containment area where an initial concentration of the proxy fluid is introduced into the containment area for a period of time. A final concentration of the proxy fluid can be measured after the period of time has elapsed. By calculating the percent change of the proxy fluid, the effectiveness of the coating can be determined.

摘要: A body of a shear pin can be positioned in a pad stopper of a steering pad of a rotary steerable system. The rotary steerable system can be used to steer a drill in a wellbore. The steering pad can be positioned on the rotary steerable system such that a head of the shear pin is coupled with a lateral pad of the rotary steerable system. The head of the shear pin can deactivate the steering pad by preventing the steering pad from actuating. A fluid pulse can be output in the wellbore to break the shear pin for enabling the steering pad to actuate to cause the rotary steerable system to steer the drill in the wellbore.
