    摘要: In a rotor for a centrifugal separator there is delimited at one rotor end a distribution chamber (24) for a pressurized liquid supplied to the rotor for being cleaned from particles, and at the opposite rotor end there are liquid outlets arranged for reaction drive of the rotor. The liquid outlets open on the rotor outside in a liquid free space radially spaced from the rotational axis of the rotor. The separation chamber (7) of the rotor, which is situated between the distribution chamber (24) and the outlets (27), contains arcuate separation discs (11), which are distributed around the rotational axis (10) of the rotor and formed such that a lot of axially extending separation channels are delimited, which have a relatively small through-flow resistance to liquid to be cleaned. The separation channels extend axially from the distribution chamber (24) to a collecting chamber (25). The collecting chamber (2) communicates with an outlet chamber (26) at a radial level in the rotor corresponding to that of the radially innermost parts of the separation discs. Thus, efficient separation can be accomplished and the largest possible part of the pressure of the supplied liquid can be used for the rotation of the rotor.

A stationary outlet member (16) is arranged to remove from a predetermined level in the outlet chamber (10) separated liquid during normal operation of the centrifugal rotor. For internal cleaning of the centrifugal rotor there is arranged within the outlet chamber (10) inside said predetermined radial level a preferably stationary reconducting member (26) that is dimensioned to accomplish a recirculation flow of cleaning liquid through said chambers (7, 8, 10) in the centrifugal rotor, which circulation flow is substantially larger than the flow of liquid which during normal operation of the centrifugal rotor passes through these chambers.

    摘要: Centrifugal separator having a discharge device for the transformation of kinetic energy of a liquid rotating in a chamber around a rotational axis to pressure energy. To make the energy transformation more efficient the opposite side edges (23, 24) of the inlet opening (22) diverge in said flow direction along a part of an extension of the side edges and at least one of the side edges has such a direction that liquid crossing the same flows into the inlet opening (22).

    摘要: In connection with cleaning of gas from particles suspended therein and being heavier than the gas the gas is caused to rotate in a chamber delimited in a stationary housing, so that the particles by centrifugal force are separated from the gas and are thrown towards a stationary housing. The rotation of the gas is accomplished by means of a rotor, which includes a stack of conical separation discs arranged coaxially with each other and concentrically with the rotational axis of the rotor. The gas to be cleaned is caused to flow through interspaces between the separation discs, while they are rotating, the particles by the centrifugal force being brought into contact with the insides of the separation discs. In contact with the insides of the separation discs the particles first move along the generatrices of the separation discs and then move along inclined guiding members, which are arranged in contact with said insides. The guiding members collect particles moving across different sectors of the separation discs and conduct them to separate areas distributed around the surrounding edges of the separation discs. From these areas the particles in an agglomerated or coalesced form are thrown away from the separation discs towards the stationary housing.

The inlet tube opens into a receiving compartment of the receiving chamber.
