    摘要: The present invention involves an electrical system in which an analog signal channel passes through various integrated circuit chips (ICs). The channel can carry one or more analog signals. Each IC can modify the signal(s) passing through it and pass it on to another IC or system component. The channel can be programmable. Each IC can include a comparator or a multiplexor to receive the channel signal from another IC or system component and to modify the received signal before transmitting it to another IC or system component. The comparator or the multiplexor can be programmable and can be selectively configured to compare the incoming signal from the channel with a variety of other signals and thresholds, or to simply act as a flow through gate and allow the signal to pass without any modification. The comparison can determine the output of the comparator. The operation and programming of the comparators, the multiplexors and the channel can be centrally controlled by a system controller, can be independently controlled by the ICs, or a combination thereof.

    摘要: The innovation relates to systems and/or methodologies for error detection during sub-assembly in high voltage analog circuits. A signal driver communicates test signals to one or more high voltage analog circuits, and a state machine compares the electrical and/or thermal responses of the high voltage analog circuits to a set of predetermined expected results (e.g., signatures). The signal driver and state machine can be incorporated into the high voltage analog circuits. The expected results can be stored in the target circuits in the form of look-up tables, matrices, and so forth. Errors, such as, dry solders and bridge solders can be determined based on the comparison of the obtained responses to the expected signatures.

The circuit comprises a programmable controller coupled to one or more detectors, wherein the one or more detectors are configured to detect one or more measurable parameters of one or more LEDs or LED drivers. The controller is configured to receive information from the one or more detectors related to the one or more measurable parameters and use that information to determine the desired drive voltage for the LED strings. The controller is associated with a power supply having power factor correction (PFC) capability. The controller provides the power supply with a control signal indicative of the desired drive voltage for one or more LED strings. The power supply also receives ac voltage and current waveforms as inputs and performs power factor correction and rectified waveforms related to the ac waveforms. The power supply generates the desired drive voltage based on the control signal.

    摘要: The present invention uses two transistors instead of a sensing resistor to provide a constant current source for a load such as an array of light emitting diodes (“LEDs”). In the present invention, a bias current is applied to a branch of the circuit. The drain-to-source voltages of two transistors are matched. The voltage at the gate of both transistors is controlled based on the bias current and the drain-to-source current of the first of the two transistors. The second of the two transistors is sized such that source current of the second transistor is a multiple of the source current of the first transistor for a given gate voltage. By the techniques of this invention, the load current in a circuit is efficiently kept constant at a multiple of the input bias current.

    摘要: Improved controller circuitry for a switching power supply is disclosed. The switching power supply is of the type having a transformer having primary and secondary windings for generating an output voltage at the secondary winding, a power switch for driving the primary winding, and controller circuitry for activating the power switch. The improved controller circuitry includes an oscillator and frequency shift means. The oscillator generates PWM pulses having a predetermined frequency for use in activating the power switch. The frequency shift means gradually shifts the frequency of the PWM pulses at a shift rate in response to the output voltage decreasing to below a threshold level. In another embodiment, a controller for use in a switching power supply includes an oscillator for generating PWM pulses having a predetermined frequency which determine the switching condition of the supply. Frequency shift means is used gradually shifting the frequency of the PWM pulses at a shift rate in response to an output voltage of the switching power supply decreasing to below a threshold level, and programming means is used for programming the shift rate and the threshold level.

The circuit comprises a detector having a first input, a second input, and an output. The circuit also comprises a flag coupled to the detector output.
