摘要: A transceiver front-end is connectable to a signal transmission and reception arrangement adapted to transmit and receive with respective frequencies. The transceiver front-end comprises at least one of a transmit frequency blocking arrangement and a receive frequency blocking arrangement. For instance, the transmit frequency blocking arrangement has a blocking and non-blocking frequency interval associated with the transmit frequency and receive frequency, respectively, and is adapted to block passage of transmit frequency signals between the signal transmission and reception arrangement and the receiver. At least one of the transmit frequency blocking arrangement and the receive frequency blocking arrangement comprises a network of passive components comprising at least one transformer and a frequency translated impedance adapted to have a higher impedance value in the blocking frequency interval than in the non-blocking frequency interval.

摘要: A transceiver front-end of a communication device comprises a frequency blocking arrangement, which may be either a transmit frequency blocking arrangement or a receive frequency blocking arrangement. The frequency blocking arrangement has a blocking frequency interval associated with one of a transmit frequency and receive frequency, and a non-blocking frequency interval associated with the other of the transmit frequency and receive frequency. The frequency blocking arrangement is configured to block passage of signals in the blocking frequency interval between said signal transmission and reception node and either said receiver node or said transmitter node. The frequency blocking arrangement comprises a network of passive components comprising at least one transformer and a filter arrangement adapted to have a higher impedance value in the blocking frequency interval than in the non-blocking frequency interval.

摘要: A low-noise amplifier (300) is provided which comprises an input circuit (301) configured to operate with a variable bias current and an impedance boosting circuit (314) electrically connected to the input circuit (301). The impedance boosting circuit (314) comprises at least one switch (316) and at least one tail inductor (318) electrically connected with the at least one switch (316). The low-noise amplifier (300) is configured to activate the impedance boosting circuit (314) if the variable bias current is reduced, and the impedance boosting circuit (314) is configured to increase the input impedance of the low-noise amplifier (300) if the impedance boosting circuit (314) is activated.

摘要: A technique for adjusting a transceiver capable of operating in compliance with at least one radio communication standard and comprising at least one RF transmitter and at least one RF receiver is disclosed. The technique comprises determining, when the RF transmitter transmits a signal, the amount of signal power leakage from the RF transmitter into the RF receiver, and adjusting, when RF transmitter is configured to transmit in a specific frequency range, one or more parameters of the RF receiver so as to fulfil a receiver requirement as defined in the radio communication standard. The adjustment is at least partially based on the signal power leakage determined for the specific frequency range.

摘要: A power amplifier circuit utilizes a cross-coupled tapped cascade topology together with a technique of applying an RF injection current into a wideband node to provide a single-stage power amplifier with improved PAE, output power, and gain over a wide RF band. The amplifier circuit comprises a cross-coupled cascade transistor unit comprising a pair of cross-coupled cascode transistors, a cross-coupled switching transistor unit comprising a pair of cross-coupled switching transistors, and an RF current generator. RF current generator generates a differential RF injection current, while switching transistor unit amplifies the injection current to generate an amplified injection current at the wideband node of the amplifier circuit and the cascode transistor unit further amplifies the injection current to generate the desired amplified signal at the output of the amplifier circuit. The output signal amplitude generally depends on the differential injection current and the supply voltage VDD applied to the power amplifier circuit.

摘要: A quadrature connected passive mixer arrangement for frequency converting analog signals from a first to a second frequency. The arrangement comprises two parallel connected mixers provided as transistors. First and second LO signals and their inverse signals having separated phases are provided for driving the transistors. Signal path switches are provided between the RF terminals and the mixer transistors. The switches are driven by signals having a different phase than the signal driving the corresponding mixer transistor. Thus, any short circuit between IF terminals of the arrangement may be eliminated.
