Abstract:
A wireless communication apparatus may operate selectively as a master station or as a remote station in a wireless network. When the apparatus operates as the master station, the apparatus may manage one or more remote devices that operate as remote stations. The apparatus continues operating as the master station until a continuation period elapses when the number of remote devices to be managed is zero. The continuation period begins when the number of remote devices becomes zero. If the number of remote devices becomes one or more before the continuation period elapses, the apparatus continues operating as the master station, even after a lapse of the continuation period. If the number of remote devices remains zero until the continuation period elapses, the apparatus stops operating as the master station after the lapse of the continuation period.
Abstract:
A dual network telephone device selectively performs a telephone communication via a public telephone network and via an IP telephone network. The dual network telephone device generates IP telephone identification information for a non-IP telephone device registers to an IP telephone server an association of an IP address of the dual network telephone device and the IP telephone identification information for the non-IP telephone device, receives a first call request sent from the IP telephone server, sends a call request notice instruction to the non-IP telephone device when the first call request includes the IP telephone identification information for the non-IP telephone device as a call request destination, receives IP telephone identification information input to and sent from the non-IP telephone device, sends a second call request to the IP telephone server.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system may acquire specific information including identification information from each of access points. The wireless communication system may select particular identification information corresponding to a particular access point among the one or more of access points. The wireless communication system may determine, by using the specific information acquired from the particular access point, whether the particular access point operates in accordance with a first or a second type of authentication protocol. The wireless communication system may cause a displaying unit to display a first type of setting screen if the particular access point operates in accordance with the first type of authentication protocol. The wireless communication system may cause the displaying unit to display a second type of setting screen, which is different from the first type of setting screen, if the particular access point operates in accordance with the second type of authentication protocol.
Abstract:
A wireless communication device to be wirelessly connected to a wireless network is provided. The wireless communication device includes an encryption examiner to examine as to whether communication in the wireless network is encrypted, a password obtainer to obtain a password designated by a user for connecting the wireless communication device to the wireless network if the encryption examiner determines that the communication in the wireless network is encrypted, and a wireless connector to connect the wireless communication device to the wireless network with the use of the obtained password. The wireless connector sequentially selects one set from a plurality of sets, and sequentially attempts to connect the wireless communication device to the wireless network with the use of the sequentially selected one set. Each set of the plurality of sets has an authorization method and an encryption method.

Abstract:
A managing device includes an identification information requesting unit that requests each network interface for the identification information of all the network interfaces belonging to the image forming device via the network, and an identification information receiving unit that receives reply information from the each network interface in response to the identification information request. When the identification information receiving unit receives a plurality of pieces of the identification information, an identification information equivalency judging unit judges whether a combination of the plurality of pieces of the identification information received from one of the plurality of network interfaces is identical to another combination of the plurality of pieces of the identification information received from another of the plurality of network interfaces. When the combinations are determined to be identical to each other, a managing unit manages the network interfaces as ones belonging to the same image forming device.
Abstract:
A data analysis provider system includes a client device and a data analysis provider both capable of two-way transmission. The client device transmits either target-of-analysis data or information relating to the target-of-analysis data to the data analysis provider. Additionally, the client device notifies the data analysis provider of a desired process to be performed on the target-of-analysis data. The data analysis provider receives the target-of-analysis data or information relating to the target-of-analysis data transmitted from the client device and confirms the desired process. Then, the data analysis provider prepares response data that enables the client device to perform the desired process and transmits the response data to the client device. The client device receives the response data from the data analysis provider.
Abstract:
The present technique provides an image reading device that allows an image transmission destination terminal to be designated simply from a console. The communication unit of the image reading device receives verification data from terminals via a network. The storage unit stores each of the received verification data in association with the terminal which had transmitted the verification data. The user inputs authentication data to the console after setting the document in place. When the authentication data is input to the console, a list of terminals associated with the verification data matching the authentication data is displayed. The user may select from the displayed list, via the console, the transmission destination terminal to which the image is to be transmitted. When the transmission destination terminal is selected by the user, the reading control unit reads out an image and transmits the image to the selected transmission destination terminal. The number of terminals displayed as candidates for the image transmission destination can be limited. The user is therefore able to easily designate the image transmission destination terminal.
Abstract:
An exposure apparatus exposing a plurality of shot areas on a substrate to light through a liquid includes a movable stage including a chuck configured to hold the substrate and a plate arranged around of the chuck, a projection optical system configured to project a light through an original onto the substrate held by the chuck, a first liquid supply nozzle arranged along a periphery of a final optical element of the projection optical system, and a plurality of second liquid supply nozzles arranged on the stage. The exposure apparatus supplies the liquid to a gap between the final optical element and the substrate through the first liquid supply nozzle. The exposure apparatus selects a nozzle for supplying the liquid from among the plurality of the second liquid supply nozzles based on a location of an exposure shot area on the substrate.
Abstract:
An electric device includes a read only memory (ROM) storing a condition setting program which sets operation conditions and the like of the electric device in accordance with data. When a user changes the operation conditions and the like of the electric device, the user access a homepage of the electric device from his or her own cellular phone, inputs necessary information and command through the cellular phone. When the electric device receives the command, the condition setting program sets the operation conditions in accordance with the received command.
