Abstract:
A toner containing a resin binder containing two kinds of polyesters having softening points that differ by 10° C. or more, a colorant and a charge control agent, wherein the two kinds of polyesters contain a polyester A having a softening point of from 105° to 140° C. and a glass transition temperature of from 30° to 55° C., and a polyester B having a softening point of from 140° to 170° C. and a glass transition temperature of exceeding 55° C. and 80° C. or lower. The toner of the present invention is usable in, for example, development of latent images formed in electrophotography, electrostatic recording method, electrostatic printing method or the like.
Abstract:
A combination of powder coatings usable in a powder coating method for forming a coating film having visually homogeneous hue by mixing two or more powder coatings of which each color is different. In the combination of powder coatings, each of differences in triboelectric charges of two or more powder coatings is 5.0 μC/g or less. The coating method usable herein includes the step of applying onto a substrate to be coated two or more powder coatings of which each color is different, in which the triboelectric charges are controlled in the above given ranges.
Abstract:
The combination of powder coatings usable in a coating method comprising mixing two or more powder coatings of which each color is different, wherein each of the powder coatings fuses with each other and is heat-cured, to thereby give a coating film having a homogenous hue. A powder coating composition comprising two or more powder coatings of which each color is different, wherein each of the powder coatings fuses with each other and is heat-cured, to thereby give a coating film having a homogenous hue. A coating method comprising the steps of (a) applying to a substrate two or more powder coatings, of which each color is different; (b) heating to fuse with each other each of the two or more powder coatings applied in step (a); and (c) curing the resulting fused product in step (b), to give a coating film having a homogeneous hue.
Abstract:
The powder coating for use in a coating method which includes the steps of mixing and applying two or more powder coatings to a substrate, the powder coating comprising a resin not having thermosetting properties at a temperature of 160.degree. C. or less by itself, and being heat-cured at a temperature of 160.degree. C. or less when used in combination with other powder coatings. The powder coating composition comprising two or more powder coatings, wherein each of the powder coatings comprises a resin not having thermosetting properties at a temperature of 160.degree. C. or less by itself, and being heat-cured at a temperature of 160.degree. C. or less to form a coating film when used in combination with other powder coatings.
Abstract:
The developer composition for electrostatic latent images includes a toner and a carrier, the toner including (a) a binder resin comprising a polyester resin having an acid value of from 0 to 10 KOH mg/g; (b) a wax; and (c) a colorant. In the developer composition, the wax is dispersed in the toner with a length to diameter ratio of from 2 to 15.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a process for preparing an unsaturated aliphatic primary or secondary amine from the corresponding unsaturated aliphatic nitrile without hydrogenating an olefinic bond in the molecule. The process employs a catalyst which is a combination of copper and a specific metal.
