Abstract:
A construction method for protecting a surface of a structure is provided to protect interior and exterior surfaces of the structure before construction starts. The construction method is executed by laying a soft base material on the surfaces of the structure and covering the base material with a quick setting cement material to form a leveled cement plate with great wear resistance and pressure resistance whereby the surfaces are not damaged by any improper force derived from the construction. Thus, the construction efficiency is increased. The base material on which the quick setting cement material is laid can be easily removed from the surfaces of the structure without tools because the base material is not adhered to the surfaces. The base material can also be reused after being separated from the quick setting cement material to prevent the occurrence of environmental pollution and reduce the cost of construction.
Abstract:
Proposed is a light emitting module (1), comprising a semiconductor light emitting device (10) and a thermal switch (20). The thermal switch (20) is arranged to protect the device (10) from over heating. At elevated temperatures the junction of the device (10) may reach a critical level causing catastrophic breakdown of the device. According to the invention, the thermal switch is arranged to shunt the semiconductor light emitting device. This is especially advantageous as the thermal protection offered by the switch (20) correlates directly to the (junction) temperature of the device (10).
Abstract:
A method of dynamic resource transaction in wireless OFDMA systems is proposed. In macro-femto overlay network architecture, network and traffic condition varies dynamically. Dynamic resource transaction is a powerful mechanism to achieve effective interference mitigation and flexible radio resource management to enhance resource utilization as well as to improve link performance. Dynamic resource transaction can be performed by signaling or message exchange through backhaul network or air-interface connections. The signal or message through backhaul network can be directly exchanged among multiple base stations or be routed through a centralized self-organizing network (SON) server. In one embodiment, dynamic resource transaction is used to achieve adaptive reservation region configuration, a solution to avoid interference and frequent handover for high-speed mobile stations.
Abstract:
Techniques for objectively determining perceived video/image quality, the techniques including receiving a degraded bit-stream comprising encoded video/image data, and subsequently parsing the bit-stream to extract one or more video/image coding components. The video coding components may include intra-prediction modes, discrete cosine transform (DCT) coefficients, motion information, or combinations thereof, and may be used as a basis for objectively predicting a Quality of Experience (QoE) or Motion Opinion Score (MOS) score of the degraded bit-stream.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a data storage, a display unit, and a processing unit. The data storage stores a plurality of files. The display unit is operable to display drawing interfaces. The electronic device selects a file requiring locking, activates a drawing tool to generate the drawing interface in response to an file locking operation, records an image file drawn by the drawing tool as a locking password following a drawing operation on the drawing interface, and associates the file with the locking password to lock the file.
Abstract:
A method of manufacture of an integrated circuit system includes: forming an etch stop layer over a bulk substrate; forming a buffer layer on the etch stop layer; forming a hard mask on the buffer layer; forming a through silicon via through the etch stop layer with the hard mask detected and the buffer layer removed with a low down force; and forming a passivation layer on the through silicon via and the etch stop layer.
Abstract:
A power mains distribution or breaker panel, and individual circuit breaker or relay therein having a circuit threacross providing a data path independent of the circuit breaker or relay operation. Alternate embodiments include circuits to control the data path and data path characteristics from data provided by either the line or load side of the power mains panel.
Abstract:
A patient imaging system includes a patient support table, an MRI system including a cylindrical magnet and a PET system including positron detectors mounted in a ring. The magnet defines a cylindrical bore for receiving the patient on the table where the magnet is mounted for rotation about a vertical axis on a slew ring carried on rails allowing longitudinal movement. The PET ring is mounted in the bore for longitudinal movement. The quench tube for the magnet passes through the slew ring with a rotary union at the axis. The shielding covers include a fixed upper part and a lower part which rotates about the axis with the magnet. The magnet is arranged in a two or three room diagnostic configuration in which a holding bay houses the magnet and the diagnostic patients are organized in the three rooms each cooperating with the magnet bay as the magnet is rotated.
Abstract:
An image capture system for recording X-ray images in real time is disclosed. The image capture system includes an image pickup device, a sensing module and a surgical navigation device. The sensing module is used to detect the on/off status of the image pickup device. While the image pickup device is turned on to capture an X-ray image, the sensing module transmits a notification signal to the surgical navigation device. After receiving the notification signal, the surgical navigation device records the X-ray image captured by the image pickup device and the relative position between the image pickup device and the patient in real time. Thus, the real-time recording of the relative position between the image pickup device and the patient will prevent inaccurate image reading that occurs when the patient's position and image pickup device shift after the X-ray image has been captured.
