Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for simulating daylight performance of buildings based on regional daylight climate data. The method comprises the steps of: establishing a regional sky luminance distribution database from measured data; mapping sky luminance data to an artificial sky lamp group; using a 3D printing machine to fabricate a scaled physical model based on real parameters of the building to be simulated; and using the scaled physical model in the artificial sky integrated with regional sky luminance distribution data to make the daylight performance simulation. This method can achieve high-precision simulation of the daylight performance of buildings by using regional sky daylight climate data with a highly accurate physical model of the building.
Abstract:
A method for forming a device is disclosed. The method includes providing a substrate prepared with first and second contact regions and a dielectric layer over the contact region. First and second vias are formed in the dielectric layer. The first via is in communication with the first contact region and the second via is in communication with the second contact region. A buried void provides a communication path between the first and second vias. The vias and buried void are at least partially filled with a dielectric filler. The partially filled buried void blocks the communication path between the first and second vias created by the buried void. The dielectric filler in the vias is removed, leaving remaining dielectric filler in the buried void to block the communication path between the first and second vias and contact plugs are formed in the vias.
Abstract:
An industrial or manufacturing communication system and devices typically used in an industrial environment including several industrial devices such as work stations wherein a work station power distribution line runs along side the work flow or conveyor line, with individual data units connected between the individual work stations and the power distribution line, and further includes a similar connection by a data unit between a process controller and the power distribution line, wherein a selective flow of data is provided between and/or among the individual work stations and/or a workstation and the process controller. Further embodiments include the powering of the data units from power derived from the power distribution line(s), and integration and/or embedding some or all of the communications elements of the present invention into the structure, e.g. circuit boards, of the workstations and other devices connected to primary and/or secondary power lines.
Abstract:
A circuit and system having an inductive data link from one or more user-side phases to a plurality of line-side phases by individual data transformers having a winding coupled to the particular phase by a high-permeability ferrite material. The resulting connection across the primary (or primaries) and secondary (or secondaries) selectively provides and efficient coupling of data in a multi-phase environment including step-down distribution transformers and “Δ”-to-“Y” configured circuits while maintaining isolation at the power line frequency. Further embodiments include transfer to selected phases or single-phase applications, and selective signal-pass or -reject filtering.

Abstract:
A patient imaging system includes a patient support table, an MRI system including a cylindrical magnet and a PET system including positron detectors mounted in a ring. The magnet defines a cylindrical bore for receiving the patient on the table where the magnet is mounted for rotation about a vertical axis on a slew ring carried on rails allowing longitudinal movement. The PET ring is mounted in the bore for longitudinal movement. The quench tube for the magnet passes through the slew ring with a rotary union at the axis. The shielding covers include a fixed upper part and a lower part which rotates about the axis with the magnet. The magnet is arranged in a two or three room diagnostic configuration in which a holding bay houses the magnet and the diagnostic patients are organized in the three rooms each cooperating with the magnet bay as the magnet is rotated.
Abstract:
The media player employs an operating system that supports a virtual machine into which auto-run playback programs may be loaded and run. The auto run playback program is stored on the media containing the program content, such as on an optical disc medium. When the medium is inserted in the player, the auto run playback program automatically launches and is thereafter used to access playback the media content. Support for legacy media is provided to allow the player to playback compact discs and DVD discs that were manufactured without the auto run playback program
Abstract:
A TFT array substrate is provided. The TFT array substrate includes: a gate electrode connected to a gate line; a source electrode connected to a data line that crosses the gate line and defines a pixel region; a drain electrode facing the source electrode with a channel between; a semiconductor layer forming the channel in between the source electrode and the drain electrode; a pixel electrode in the pixel region and contacting the drain electrode; a channel passivation layer formed on the semiconductor layer; a gate pad with a gate pad lower electrode that extends from the gate line; and a data pad having a data pad lower electrode separated from the data line.

A transceiver device for coupling between a power line and a network interface unit includes a power line modem for transmitting and receiving data between the power line and the network interface unit and a power circuit coupled to the power line modem that is adapted to deliver a DC power signal to the network interface unit.
Abstract:
A set of contiguous and partially overlapping cDNA sequences and polypeptides encoded thereby, designated as BL172 and transcribed from urinary tract tissue, is described. These sequences are useful for the detecting, diagnosing, staging, monitoring, prognosticating, in vivo imaging, preventing or treating, or determining the predisposition of an individual to diseases and conditions of the urinary tract, such as urinary tract cancer. Also provided are antibodies which specifically bind to BL172-encoded polypeptide or protein, and agonists or inhibitors which prevent action of the tissue-specific BL172 polypeptide, which molecules are useful for the therapeutic treatment of urinary tract diseases, tumors or metastases.
