    摘要: A Stirling cycle machine control system includes an energy converter having a moving member. A detector is operatively associated with the moving member. The detector is configured to detect stroke of the moving member. A converter circuit is coupled with an output of the energy converter and is operative to convert output from AC to DC. A regulator is coupled with the converter circuit and a useful load, and is operative to regulate DC voltage. A controllably variable load member is coupled to the converter circuit and is operative to adjust load to the energy converter. Adjustment of the load to the energy converter regulates power output of the energy converter which in turn controls movement of the moving member. Control circuitry is signal coupled with the detector and the load member. The control circuitry is configured to receive a feedback signal correlated with the detected stroke of the moving member. The control circuitry is operative to dynamically adjust load on the energy converter to limit stroke of the moving member below a threshold level. A method is also provided.

With line power, the inverter operates as an H-bridge inverter. With battery power, the battery voltage is applied to a smaller portion of the inverter's transformer primary. The changeover from line to battery power is determined by when an intermediate voltage tapped from the transformer drops below the battery voltage.

    摘要: A secondary power system eliminates the need for an automatic transfer switch and permits simultaneous supply from different sources. Primary power is rectified and connected to a DC bus, an AC generator has its output rectified and connected to the DC bus, and a storage battery is also connected to the DC bus. Current on the DC bus is inverted to AC to provide an uninterrupted power supply. The system is connected to a household electrical system by a power distribution panel which can be installed in a home prior to the secondary power system and can facilitate installation of the secondary system. The distribution panel can selectively bypass the secondary system and can disconnect non-vital loads when primary power is not available. The generator is powered by an engine using gasoline, natural gas or water, which can also power other systems, such as air conditioning, with exhaust heat or rotary motion.

    摘要: An alternating current conditioner is provided with a magnetic structure that provides smoothing, transient suppression, ride through and power factor correction. The structure has a gapped magnetic core and primary and secondary windings. A shunt is provided between the primary and secondary, with the gap being on the primary side. A capacitor is in series with the secondary winding. The capacitor and the shunt inductance provide an LC low pass filter. The inductance caused by the gap cancels the capacitive effect of the LC filter.

    摘要: A device for isolating an electrical instrument from an input voltage signal at a floating potential. The device includes a transformer with a center-tapped primary winding, a center-tapped secondary winding and a core magnetically coupling the primary and secondary windings. The input voltage signal is applied to an input terminal coupled to the center tap of the primary winding. A modulator circuit is connected to the primary winding for alternately applying the input voltage signal to opposite sections of the primary winding by means of FETs, or the like, isolated from a control circuit by a transformer, the control circuit alternately switching the modulator circuit at a suitable modulating frequency. A demodulator circuit is connected to the secondary winding for alternately connecting each end of the secondary winding to a common return point to demodulate the output signal from the center tap of the secondary winding by means of FETs or the like, controlled by the control circuit, which remains at ground potential.

In one embodiment, the control circuit compensates for image distortion that is the result of sweeping the housing (12) across a non-linear path.
