The LCD panel further includes a plurality of partial gate lines to transmit a plurality of partial driving signals, a plurality of partial data lines to transmit a plurality of data signals, and a plurality of partial switching elements. Each partial switching element is turned on based on a partial driving signal to provide a memory with a data signal via a partial data line when a main switching element is enabled, and to provide a liquid crystal capacitor with a data signal stored in the memory when the main switching element is turned off.

The signal lines include pads formed at ends thereof, respectively. The organic insulating layer is partially removed such that the via holes are formed between the pads of the signal lines to reduce a step-difference between an area in which the pads are formed and an area in which the pads are not formed. Thus, the display apparatus may enhance the coupling force between the signal generator and the display panel.

    摘要: A display substrate includes a plurality of pixel parts, each including a first and second gate lines, a source line, first, second, and third transistors, and a pumping capacitor. A display device includes a display panel, a gate driving part, a source driving part, and an output selecting part. Each pixel part of a display panel includes a transmissive part, a reflective part, and an adjusting part. The adjusting part adjusts the transmission voltage charged in the reflective part to a reflection voltage based on a control voltage. Thus, transmission voltage applied to the transmissive part is adjusted to reflection voltage to be applied to the reflective part. Therefore, optical reflectivity and optical transmissivity versus voltage are matched with each other, while embodying a single cell-gap and applying a single voltage.

As the control signal generator generates a plurality of control signals, the number of test pads can be reduced when a VI test is performed, and furthermore a manufacturing cost can be reduced by reducing the number of pins of a driving chip.

    摘要: A gate line extending in a horizontal direction is formed on an insulating substrate, and a data line is formed perpendicular to the gate line defining a pixel of a matrix array. Pixel electrodes receiving image signals through the data line are formed in a pixel, and a thin film transistor having a gate electrode connected to the gate line, a source electrode connected to the data line, and a drain electrode connected to the pixel electrode is formed on the portion where the gate lines and the data lines intersect. A storage wire including a storage electrode line in the horizontal direction, a storage electrode connected to the storage electrode line, and at least one of the storage electrode connection portions connecting storage electrodes of neighboring pixels is formed in the same direction as the gate line. A redundant repair line overlaps and is insulated from the storage wire at one end and overlaps the storage wire or the gate wire of a neighboring pixel at the other end is formed in the same layer as the data wire. Also, a storage wire connection portion connecting the storage wires of a neighboring pixel is formed in the same layer as the pixel electrode. In this structure, if portions of the gate wire or the data wire are disconnected, the portions overlapping the disconnected wire, the storage wire, and the redundant repair line are shorted to repair an open wire defect.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a display device and a method of testing a display device. A display device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a gate driver for generating gate signals and applying the gate signals to switching elements; a precharge circuit for applying a predetermined voltage to the pixels to precharge the pixels; and a pad portion including a plurality of inspection pads for applying test signals to the gate driver and the precharge circuit. Accordingly, test signals are applied through pads using the gate driver and the precharge circuit, which makes it possible to check whether the two driving circuits normally operate and to detect defects, such as the disconnection or short-circuit of the signal lines, before a module process. Thus, it is possible to reduce manufacturing time and cost.
