Abstract:
A workpiece cutting method utilizing a band-saw machine, includes the following steps of: guiding tooth tips of an endless band-saw blade provided on the band-saw machine in a direction of a workpiece by a band-saw blade guiding apparatus; and applying vibrations to the band-saw blade in a cutting direction to the workpiece so as to perform cutting of the workpiece by a vibration applying unit provided on the band-saw blade guiding apparatus.
Abstract:
A bandsaw machine which has a sawhead assembly in which a flexible endless bandsaw blade is trained around a pair of bandsaw blade wheels to cut a workpiece, with the blade being guided by a guide arm, includes a guide member on the guide arm, for holding the bandsaw blade in a vertical orientation by pushing the bandsaw blade from both sides. A rolling member is mounted on the sawhead assembly and is free to push a side surface of the bandsaw blade with a predetermined force so as to prevent vibration of the blade.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an abrading machine comprising two abrading devices, a carrier member that is provided between the two abrading devices so as to be movable toward and away from them. Gripping elements are mounted on the carrier member so as to be located on opposite sides of the abrading devices to hold a workpiece to be abraded. A plurality of supporting members are also provided on the carrier member to rotatably swing up and down in order to support the workpiece as it is abraded by the different abrading devices. The gripping elements are pivotably attached to the carrier member and are designed to swing with respect to the carrier member in the direction of movement of the carrier member.

Abstract:
There is disclosed a device for measuring dimensions of workpieces, particularly rod shaped workpieces. The device includes a supporting means for supporting and roughly aligning the workpieces, a measuring mean for detecting the length of the workpiece, and a control unit including memory means for storing the measured values. The measuring device of the present invention is characterized in that the measuring means (1, 103) is provided with a sensor means (6, 104) for detecting dimensions of a cross-section of the workpiece (1, 101).

Abstract:
The invention is a cutting machine and its method of operation. The machine contains a vise, a feed mechanism for positioning a workpiece toward the cutting position, a mechanism for detecting the front end of the workpiece, a mechanism for detecting the transfer distance of the front end of the workpiece, a machanism acting in conjunction with the last two referenced mechanisms to reduce the feed speed of the workpiece, a mechanism to control the feed velocity of the workpiece, a mechanism to contact the first end of the workpiece, and a mechanism to halt the speed of the workpiece.
