摘要： Disclosed is a method for controlling a backlight of an electronic device, such as a portable terminal, which includes the steps of storing preset backlight brightness values so as to correspond to the backlight brightness values to backlight steps, detecting a backlight brightness value stored so as to correspond to the backlight step required by a user in backlight regulation mode, and regulating the backlight brightness according to the detected backlight brightness value. Further, since the present invention can regulate the backlight brightness at night, the illumination intensity of which is low, the consumption of the battery can be reduced.

摘要： A mobile device has an acoustic shock prevention circuit and prevents an acoustic shock unexpectedly occurring when receiver signals and speaker signals are output through a receiver-integrated speaker. The acoustic shock prevention circuit is preferably disposed between the receiver-integrated speaker and an audio processing unit is enabled in a receiver mode and disabled in a speaker mode. When the audio processing unit outputs audio signals partly exceeding a given output range, the enabled acoustic shock prevention circuit removes the exceeded parts of the audio signals.

摘要： Provided is an antenna apparatus for a portable terminal including a first antenna pattern, and a second antenna pattern formed to correspond to the first antenna pattern, so that the second antenna provides a capacitive coupling along with the first pattern, thereby configuring a divergent type antenna with the second antenna pattern. The antenna apparatus configured in this manner comprises a pair of meander line antennas, whereby the antenna apparatus can efficiently suppress the generation of noise while being easily housed within the terminal. Furthermore, the antenna apparatus has an advantage of easily enhancing a specific absorption ratio (SAR) induced in a human body, which is an important factor for defining the function and quality of an antenna apparatus.

摘要： An antenna device for a portable terminal, a portable terminal, and a method for providing an antenna device in a portable terminal are provided. The antenna device includes a radio frequency (RF) board on the portable terminal, an antenna connected to the RF board, a connection line for connecting the RF board to the antenna device, and matching circuits at both ends of the connection line. The matching circuits compensate for loss from the connection line itself and connection losses so that a signal can be adjusted in accordance with the properties of the antenna. Consequently, the properties of the antenna device are stabilized.
