Abstract:
The cleaning performance of bleach-containing detergents, especially against protein- and starch-containing soils and colored soils, was to be improved. This was essentially achieved through the presence in the detergent—besides typical ingredients compatible with such components—of a compound corresponding to general formula I: in which R1 represents —H, —CH3, a C2-24 alkyl or alkenyl group, a substituted C2-24 alkyl or alkenyl group with at least one substituent from the group consisting of —Cl, —Br, —OH, —NH2, —CN, an alkyl or alkenyl aryl group containing a C1-24 alkyl group or a substituted alkyl or alkenyl aryl group containing a C1-24 alkyl group and at least one other substituent at the aromatic ring, R2 ad R3 independently of one another are selected from —CH2—CN, —CH3, —CH2—CH3, —CH2—CH2—CH3, —CH(CH3)—CH3, —CH2—OH, —CH2—CH2—OH, —CH(OH)—CH3, —CH2—CH2—CH2—OH, —CH2—CH(OH)—CH3, —CH(OH)—CH2—CH3, —(CH2CH2—O)nH where n=1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 and X is an anion, and an enzyme selected from the group consisting of protease, amylase, lipase, cellulase and mixtures thereof.

Abstract:
Phosphate-free builder combinations containing zeolite, crystalline layer silicates corresponding to formula (I) NaMSi.sub.x O.sub.2x+1..sub.y H.sub.2 O, in which M is sodium or hydrogen, x is a number of 1.9 to 4 and y is a number of 0 to 20, and polymeric polycarboxylates may be used separately as water softeners or in detergents. Their primary and secondary detergent properties are so favorable that there is little or no need to use phosphonates.
Abstract:
A particulate washing or cleaning composition containing (A) a phosphate-free water-soluble builder component and (B) alkali metal percarbonate particles having a coating containing alkali metal silicate.
Abstract:
A detergent composition containing surfactant, builder component, oxygen-based bleaching agent, bleach activator, and enzyme, wherein the builder component is an oxidatively modified oligosaccharide which contains a —COOH group instead of a —CH(OH)—CHO group at its originally reducing end group and which has an average degree of oligomerization of from 2 to 20.
Abstract:
The aim of the invention is to improve the stability in storage of bleach activators of the quaternized amino alkyl nitrile type. To this end, the invention provides that a particle containing these bleach activators is enclosed in the most complete possible manner by an enclosing material.
Abstract:
A process for producing silicate or silicate-containing builder granules having an apparent density of at least 600 g/l by compacting silicate materials having an apparent density of less than 500 g/l, a molar ratio of SiO.sub.2 to Na.sub.2 O of 1.3 to 4, and a water content of up to 15% by weight, wherein the silicate materials are X-ray amorphous and are present in the form of a fine particle solid having a flake structure.
Abstract:
A detergent composition containing surfactants selected from anionic, cationic, nonionic, amphoteric and zwitterionic surfactants and a builder component containing 40% to 80% by weight of amorphous alkali metal silicates and 10% to 40% by weight of alkali metal carbonates in the form of a compound, with the proviso that the alkali metal carbonate content is always greater than the alkali metal silicate content, and at most 25% by weight of water, and wherein the compound does not have a homogeneous surface nor a uniform particle size distribution.
Abstract:
Liquid aftertreatment preparations for laundry having fabric-softening, acidifying and antichlorinating properties which contain, in acidic aqueous solution, hydrogen peroxide or an organic percarboxylic acid, a quaternary ammonium compounds, and hexafluorosilicic acid and/or water-soluble salts thereof, more especially the magnesium salt, as an acidifying agent. Preparations containing magnesium salts of hexafluorosilicic acid are distinguished by particularly high stability of the per compounds.
