    摘要: The present invention provides isolated or synthetic peptides derived from the d subunit of mammalian F1Fo ATP synthase (dF1Fo) protein for the purposes of tissue protection and improved energy production following acute injury from ischemia/reperfusion or other toxic insults, or in chronic diseases such as diabetes and cancer. The major focus of the patent protection will be 2 peptides comprising an amino acid sequence having at least 75% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 2 and pharmaceutical compositions thereof. However, additional peptide sequences within the dF1Fo protein may also have efficacies in these disease states and therefore all peptides shown in the Figures of this application (combined with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-Tat protein transduction, cytochrome oxidase subunit IV (COIV) mitochondrial targeting and Flag domains) are included for their efficacies in these conditions.

In one aspect, the opposite plastic walls can be formed from an olefin, such as polyethylene or polypropylene, or the like. In another aspect, the opposite plastic walls can be formed from a styrene, such as acrylonitrile or butadiene styrene, or the like. In still another aspect, the opposite plastic walls can be formed from a mixture of olefins and styrenes. The polymeric resin material can also be made from recycled olefin, styrene, or nylon products. It will also be appreciated that the material of the walls can include additives, such as glass, fiber, talc, UV resistive or protective materials, etc. In one aspect, plastic granules of different colors can be combined to obtain a wall color that is a composite color to more readily simulate another material.

    摘要: A portable coupler which can detachably fit into opposing corner fittings of adjacent freight containers for joining the containers into an integral unit is disclosed. The coupler includes a unitary tension spindle member shaped at each end to fit into and latch onto a standard container corner fitting. In use, one end of the spindle is fitted into an end opening of the corner fitting of a first container and the spindle is then moved longitudinally to engage and hook into the opening of an opposed end corner fitting of an adjacent container. A pair of bearing rings are fitted about the spindle, each formed with a bearing face to bear against the external face of an opposed container corner fitting. Both bearing rings are engaged to a common outer collar ring that may be manually rotated to separate the bearing rings and simultaneously provide a compression force between the corner fittings of the joined containers and a tension force in the spindle member hooked into both containers. Latch members are slidably mounted on the spindle member with each linked to an opposed bearing ring. Each latch member is engaged into a container corner fitting opening, preventing detachment of the spindle member for the corner fitting in the extended mode.

    摘要: A fabricated knock-down merchandise display fixture which includes telescopic, extendible and retractable standard sections for increasing and decreasing the height of the fixture, and including a two piece gravity actuated latch unit mounted on the standards for holding the extendible standard section in selected position. The latch unit is automatically deactivated to permit ready extension of the extendible standard section by merely lifting up on the extendible section to increase the height of the fixture standard and upon release of the extendible section from upward movement, the latch unit is automatically reactivated to hold the extendible section of the standard in its newly extended position. Abutment structure is provided on the standards for limiting the telescopic movement thereof and for guiding the lengthwise movement of the extendible section. The novel features of the fixture are adapted for use with a considerable variety of different fixture arrangements for use in displaying products, with the display fixtures being readily assembled and disassembled using unskilled labor and a minimum of tools, time and effort.
