In a further embodiment, the aliphatic hydrocarbon substituted aromatic hydrocarbon further comprises from about 1 to about 50 percent by weight of tetrahydronaphthalene or hydrocarbyl substituted tetrahydronaphthalenes.

摘要： A moisture sensing detector of snow, sleet, ice and rain. The detector includes a sensing probe and coacting control circuitry for receiving the moisture signal from the probe and actuating associated equipment such as, for example, a railroad switch heater. The probe includes sturdy substantially elongated electrically charged aluminum electrodes spaced apart a very small distance (1/8" gap for example) by fiberglass strip insulation. Any moisture (even a drop of water) bridging the small gap completes a circuit between the electrodes which triggers the control circuit into actuating the railroad track switch heater or any like equipment. The electrodes are substantially elongated to provide a large sensing area. A heating unit is secured to one electrode to heat the entire length of the probe thereby melting any ice, sleet and snow (since they do not conduct an electrical current) thus permitting the probe to detect resultant moisture. The probe has a sharp upper edge cross sectional profile to forestall the accumulation of debris thereon. If debris should stay on the probe, its long length allows accumulation of significant amounts of debris without affecting sensitivity to moisture detection. A thermostat in the control circuitry turns on the probe at predetermined ambient temperature above the moisture freezing point.In another embodiment, the heating unit structure is substituted for one of the electrodes in the probe.

摘要： A rocket-launched line charge apparatus for obstacle breaching includes at least two explosive charges connected by detonating cord. The detonating cord passes through a flexible tubing, and is bunched in a sinuous arrangement within the plastic tubing so as to store excess detonating cord. The detonating cord is attached to the two ends of the flexible tubing by cable ties. The explosive charges, the tubing and the detonating cord are enclosed in a fabric sock formed by overbraiding, the fabric sock being the strength member connecting the two explosive charges during deployment. The plastic tubing arrangement is applicable to storage of other cords in other systems involving tethered deployment of objects.

摘要： Very thin films of liquid anti-reflection materials are applied to optical substrates to increase effectively visual clarity and visual acuity by reducing reflection light losses, reducing internal reflections and increasing light transmission. The primary properties of the materials which are useful as anti-reflection films are characterized as non-volatile, optically clear liquids having a refractive index less than the refractive index of the optical substrate to which they are applied. Low cost, effective anti-reflection coatings are thus applied to optical substrates, such as eyeglasses, using a single liquid layer of the anti-reflective material.
