摘要: A method of assessing Fallopian tubal patency includes introducing a distension medium into a patient's uterus, introducing a contrasting medium into the uterus, and observing the contrasting medium, for example, via a hysteroscope, to determine whether the contrasting medium flows into one or both Fallopian tubes. A device for assessing Fallopian tubal patency includes a chamber for receiving contrast media, a flow path through the chamber for delivering distension media to a patient's uterus, and a flow controller for regulating the flow of distension media to the patient's uterus. The flow path is configured to permit flow of contrast media from the chamber into the flow path.

摘要: Information regarding a mobile user's context including but not limited to current mobile activity, social relations and associations history, and past mobile, search and browsing history is identified and converted to metadata. Metadata is also applied to content sources delivering content to a search engine or personalized content engine. The metadata is used in part to determine the relative display of content objects delivered to the mobile user as search results or a personalized aggregated information resource, e.g., home page. The user may select information, from one or more entities or search results or as presented to the user in other contexts, to be automatically delivered to the user's home page as a content feed including multiple content objects or content feeds associated with an entity. Information regarding mobile user activity is compiled and used to permit publishers and advertisers to identify target candidates to receive advertisements or marketing materials.

摘要: A method and system of generating an analytical tool for use in assessing a state of an entity is described. The method comprises retrieving source data relating to a state of a community of which the entity forms a part, the source data resulting from a data collecting and analysis mechanism and the source data relating to at least one variable and the, or each, variable comprising a plurality of drivers; performing cluster analysis on the source data to produce an array of reference data; and organising the array of reference data into a form to be used in analysing data collected from the community. An analytical tool for use in assessing the state of an entity is also described and comprises an array of cells, each cell containing a subset of reference data which provides a measure of each driver related to the state of a community of which the entity forms a part, and the positioning of the cells relative to one another being governed by the inter-relationship of the reference data contained in the cells.

摘要: The present invention provides a replacement ligament comprising first and second ends, two or more securing portions for securing said ligament to a portion of bone material and a body portion comprising a first component having a first, higher, elongation per unit load characteristic; and a second component having a second, lower, elongation per unit load characteristic. The first and second components are between said two or more securing portions and arranged in load series such that initial, lower, loading is reacted by said first component and subsequent, higher, loading is reacted by said second component.

摘要: A mixer circuit arrangement for frequency-translating a voltage input signal by an amount dependent on the frequency of a local oscillator signal to provide an output signal. The arrangement comprises an input stage 33 and a mixer stage 32, the input stage 33 being arranged to convert the voltage input signal into differential current signals and the mixer stage 32 being arranged to mix the differential current signals with the local oscillator signal to provide the output signal. Means 34,35 is provided for injecting a compensation current into the input stage 33 so as to balance the differential current signals provided to the mixer stage 32.

摘要: A method of conditioning a fluid flow from a first area to a second area downstream from the first area. The flow coming from the first area is directed in a longitudinal direction. The cross-section of flow is increased, and the flow is split by means of an impact surface substantially perpendicularly to the longitudinal flow direction. The split is caused to flow symmetrically relative to the longitudinal flow direction over a predetermined distance from the splitting to the second area without reducing the rate. The split flow is accelerated over at least a portion of said predetermined distance. The flow is mixed to achieve a conditioned fluid flow in the second area.
