    摘要： Seal coating compositions and method of applying same, to metallic surfaces, particularly aluminum or alloys thereof, containing a previously formed protective coating on the metal surface, to provide for improved corrosion resistance beyond that provided by the previously formed protective coating. Aqueous solutions of the seal coating components are applied to the metal surface containing the previously formed coating which is subsequently rinsed and dried to provide metal articles having improved resistance to corrosion.

    摘要： A metal treatment solution comprising an effective amount of a soluble or dispersible compound which is a derivative of a polyphenol. The present invention comprises novel derivatives of polyphenol compounds useful in the treatment of the surface of metal articles. The present invention also encompasses novel surface treatment solutions or dispersions, and methos of using these solutions or dispersions. The compositions of the present invention include amine oxide containing polyphenol compounds and derivatives thereof. The molecular weight of the polyphenols used in derivatives of the present invention have molecular weights of from about 360 to about 30,000 or greater. The resulting derivatives of the present invention typically have a molecular weight of up to about 2,000,000 with molecular weights within the range of about 700 to about 70,000 being preferred.

    摘要： A music synthesizer includes main resonator, such as a digital waveguide network, that is coupled to a digital passive nonlinear filter. The passive nonlinear filter receives traveling wave signals from the resonator and generates modified traveling wave signals having a different frequency spectrum than the received traveling wave signals without changing the received traveling wave signals' energy content. The passive nonlinear filter then transmits the modified traveling wave signals back into the resonator. The passive nonlinear filter includes a first memory element for retaining an internal energy state and a dual-mode signal generator that generates the modified traveling wave signal from the received signals and the internal energy state using a first signal processing method when the internal energy state has a negative value and using a second distinct signal processing method when the internal energy state has a positive value. The dual-mode signal generator preferably includes a two-level amplifier that multiplies the internal energy state by a first coefficient when the internal energy state has a negative value and by a second distinct coefficient when the internal energy state has a positive value so as to generate an adjustment signal. A first signal combiner combines the received signals with the adjustment signal so as to generate a next value of the internal energy state, and a second signal combiner combines the adjustment signal and the retained internal energy state to generate the modified traveling wave signal that is transmitted into the resonator.

Preferred compositions of the invention can replace a vapor degreasing process for cleaning oil, grease, and waxy-type contaminants from metal articles to the level of cleanliness required in the aerospace industry.
