Abstract:
A method for the inspection of features of semiconductor substrates is disclosed. Once an image of a semiconductor substrate has been acquired, ROIs are allocated to pattern elements. Various parameters for evaluation of the acquired image of the semiconductor substrate are assigned to the ROIs. The ROI assigned to one pattern element of the semiconductor substrate is automatically transferred to corresponding pattern elements of the semiconductor substrate in the other elements.
Abstract:
A liquid proportioning method using a chamber for a gas and a reception volume connectable thereto for a liquid with an aperture to the environment, wherein a desired volume is predetermined for the liquid to be taken up by the reception volume, a chamber negative pressure is determined which has to exist in the chamber to cause the desired liquid volume to be taken up in the reception volume after the aperture is dipped into the liquid and the chamber is connected to the reception volume, the chamber negative pressure is produced in the chamber, the reception volume dips its aperture into the liquid, and the chamber is connected to the reception volume and the desired volume of the liquid is taken up in the reception volume.
Abstract:
There is provided a self-propelled conveyor for use in mining operations having an endless revolving conveyor strand driven in its longitudinal direction by intermediate drives and guided on a conveyor frame which consists of segments multi-directionally pivotally connected to one another along the central longitudinal axis of the conveyor. The conveyor frame has downwardly extendible support elements which, for the conveying operation, lift the conveyor strand reversing in the lower stringer from the ground when the support elements are extended. For the transporting operation, the support elements are retracted so as to permit the strand to lie on the ground. Between the segments of the conveyor frame disposed in the front region of the conveyor there are steering cylinders by means of which the angle between these segments can be adjusted so as to direct the longitudinal direction of the conveyor.
Abstract:
A double-chain conveyor is assembled of trough sections defining a bottom plate provided with lateral guiding walls for scraper elements and intermediate guides extending along the entire length of the conveyor and guidingly engaging lateral edges of flat chain elements arranged parallel to the bottom plate of the trough. The flat chain elements are provided with oblong holes extending in the direction of the chain and linking vertically directed ring-shaped chain elements with a play which permits shifting movements of all chain elements in the longitudinal direction. Intermediate drives are provided between superposed bottom plates of the trough and drive a chain wheel engaging the flat chain elements both in the upper and in the lower flight of the conveying chain.
Abstract:
A covering for apertures of reaction receptacles formed in a microtitration plate, including a hermetic, elastically deforming mat or foil, a frame, and connecting elements. The mat or foil, upon planar deposition on the microtitration plate and following compression, seals the apertures. The connecting elements are fitted onto at least one of the mat or foil and frame and detachably secure the mat or foil to the frame while creating a tension in the mat or foil implementing the connection. The frame (11, 110) is dimensioned so as to permit the frame to be deposited on the microtitration plate (13), such that the mat (12, 120) or foil rests in a planar manner on the microtitration plate, and such that the frame is accessible from above to a pressure and/or heat applying device.
Abstract:
A fluid-operated device for simultaneously pretensioning a plurality of bolts connecting a first body to a second body in which the bolts are screwed with threaded end portions thereof into corresponding threaded bores in the second body and project with clearance through bores in the first body and with opposite threaded end portions thereof beyond the first body. The device comprises a carrier member arranged on the side of the first body opposite the second body and provided with a plurality of bores through which the bolts extend with clearance, a first nut screwed on the projecting other end portion of each bolt, at least one fluid-operated piston arranged on said carrier member movable along an axis parallel to those of the bolts and engaging with an end thereof the first body so as to simultaneously tension, when operated all of the screw bolts, and a second nut on an intermediate threaded portion of each bolt turnable into engagement with the first body after the bolts have been tensioned so as to hold the bodies in tight engagement with each other by the tensioned bolts.
