摘要: The analyte concentration, such as glucose, in a human or animal body is measured with an implantable sensor that generates measurement signals. The measurement signals are compressed through statistical techniques to produced compressed measurement data that can is easier to process and communicate. A base station carries the implantable sensor along with a signal processor, memory, and a transmitter. A display device is also disclosed that can receive the compressed measurement data from the base station for further processing and display.

摘要: The invention concerns a process for producing a diagnostic test element for analyzing a body fluid in which a lancing member that can puncture a body part is provided with a collecting channel for body fluid obtained by the puncture, wherein the collecting channel exhibits capillary action, and wherein a sensor member for an optical or electrochemical measurement is connected to the lancing member. According to the invention, the sensor member and the lancing member can be joined together as interlocking connecting components wherein a measuring element of the sensor member is inserted into the collecting channel through an insertion opening of the lancing member.

摘要: The invention concerns a method for producing integrated, diagnostic test elements (1) which have a lancing area (2) and a detection area (3). The lancing area is used to generate an opening in the skin and the detection area is used to detect an analyte in a body fluid. The selective sterilization sterilizes the lancing area but not the detection area by electron radiation. The method according to the invention comprises the steps of screening the detection area on the test element against electron radiation and subsequently irradiating the test element with electron radiation. The invention additionally concerns a method according to the invention in which the test elements and lancing areas are in a connected arrangement and are brought into the radiation area by moving the entire arrangement. Finally the invention concerns a diagnostic test element which has been produced according to the inventive method.

摘要: An analytical device is provided comprising a lancet and a test element in an integrated arrangement. The lancet generally comprises a lancet needle and a protective cap wherein the lancet needle can be displaced relative to the protective cap and wherein the protective cap generally completely surrounds the tip of the lancet needle. The protective cap is typically comprised of an elastic or plastic material and is configured to generally seal an opening provided in a chamber of the test element. In certain embodiments, the lancet comprises a conductive material and can be configured for electrical connection to a detection and evaluation device in order to be used to measure the filling level of the sample liquid and/or to serve as a counter or reference electrode. The present invention also relates to a process for producing such an analytical device and the use thereof.
