    摘要: A device, for supporting a heavyweight panel in a curtain wall unit or partition having a rectangular frame, comprises a horizontal support plate adapted to support the panel at its lower edge thereof, and a vertical plate extending downwardly and centrally from the horizontal support plate. At least one projection is disposed on the underside or upper side of the horizontal support plate adjacent to an interior edge thereof for being fitted in at least one opening in an interior part of a lower horizontal frame member. The device also may have a plurality of parallel first reinforcing ribs on an interior face of the vertical plate and a plurality of parallel second reinforcing ribs on an exterior face of the vertical plate. Each of the first reinforcing ribs have an interior face lying at a right angle with respect to the underside face of the horizontal support plate for intimate contact with an exterior vertical wall of the interior frame member part when the projection is fitted in the opening in the same interior frame member part. In another form, the first reinforcing ribs are ommitted, and the projection is upwardly directed.

    摘要: An extrusion press primarily adapted for the handling of light metal. The press comprises a heated receptacle for blanks, same being mounted for movement in a direction parallel to the direction of extrusion, together with a hollow shaft onto which the receptacle moves during extrusion operation. The extrusion die is placed at the end of the shaft toward the receptacle so that the movement above mentioned drives the extrudable material within the receptacle through the die and exits same through the hollow shaft. A double acting pressure cylinder and piston actuates a piston rod which bears against the receptacle for effecting said movement thereof. A quick acting connector is provided for connecting the piston rod to the receptacle for retracting same to the initial position after the completion of an extrusion operation. Further retraction of only the piston rod then provides sufficient space between the end of said piston rod and the end of said receptacle to guide a cut off knife therebetween for shearing residue from the die.

    摘要: There is provided corner joint means which facilitates reliable connection of two wall members placed adjacent to each other at a concave or a convex angle portion i.e., corner portion, in the wall structure of buildings. The corner joint means also provides a simple heat insulating construction at the corner portion of the wall structure. The corner joint means of this invention comprises a pair of foundation assemblies each having one end thereof fixedly connected to the respective wall members, and a plurality of plate-like attachment members spaced in the depth direction of the corner portion and extending between the foundation assemblies. Each of the attachment members is so arranged that one end thereof is fixedly connected to one of the foundation assemblies and the other end thereof is slidably connected to the other foundation assembly.

    摘要: A cooling and heating air jet device in a building interior or exterior structure including a framework of hollow vertical and horizontal wall support members is disclosed. The framework of hollow wall support members forms an air duct through which cooling or heating air is passed. A selected one of the wall support members is formed with a plurality of air jet openings spaced in the longitudinal direction of the same. The hollow interior of the selected one wall support member is divided into two adjacent and parallel chambers by a partition wall having a plurality of communication holes spaced in the longitudinal direction of the same. One of the chambers forms a part of the air duct and a first pressure equalizing chamber and the other one of the chambers forms a second pressure equalizing chamber. The plurality of air jet openings are formed in the side wall of the second pressure equalizing chamber.

The window further includes a sealing member made of thermal insulating material which is adapted to cover the whole of the outer surface of the window casing and to be in contact with the outer and upper portion of the external framework member. A thermal insulating area is provided at the junction of the window casing and the panel member and a thermal insulating space defined between the window casing and the thermal insulating window framework so that thermal insulation between the inner and outer sides of curtain walls is achieved.In the thermal insulating window, all heat transfer passages between the inner and outer sides of the curtain walls pass through one or more thermal insulating material or thermal insulating space, and therefore the thermal insulating window has a high thermal insulating efficiency as a whole.

    摘要: A plug assembly for use in a thermal-medium passage in a unit curtain wall, for example, comprises a circular gasket seat having a central cylinder with an annular elastomeric gasket placed on the gasket seat around the central cylinder, and a sleeve fitted over the central cylinder and fastened thereto by a fastener such as a hexagonal socket head cap screw threaded through a bottom of the sleeve axially into the central cylinder. When the plug assembly is to be put in the thermal-medium passage, the plug assembly is inserted into the passage with the fastener slightly loosened. After the plug assembly has been pushed to a desired position in the passage, the fastener is tightened by a tightening tool until the annular elastomeric gasket is resiliently squeezed between the sleeve and the gasket seat radially outwardly against an inner circumferential wall of the passage. A heat-transporting medium such as hot water can be prevented by the annular elastomeric gasket from flowing through the passage. The plug assembly is retained in position by a setscrew threaded through a passage wall against the sleeve.
