摘要： A multimedia information system comprises first and second communication terminal apparatuses for exchanging information data using a common first communication protocol or first and second communication protocols which are different from each other, a first communication network for transmitting information data in accordance with a third communication protocol different from the first and second communication protocols, and first and second communication interface apparatuses for respectively connecting the first and second communication terminal apparatuses to the first communication network, the first communication interface apparatus comprises first conversion means for converting information data in accordance with the first and third communication protocols between the first communication terminal apparatus and the first communication network, and the second communication interface apparatus comprises second conversion means for converting information data in accordance with the second and third communication protocols between the second communication terminal apparatus and the first communication network.

摘要： A voice communication system includes a network which transmits a plurality of voice packets, a communication apparatus to communicate with an analog telephone terminal processing voice signal together with the network, and convert the voice signal into the voice packet, and convert the voice packet into the voice signal, a recorder which records a plurality of receiving voice packets received by the communication apparatus on a recording medium when an incoming call to the analog telephone terminal arises and it is impossible to control the incoming call to the analog telephone terminal, a managing circuit to manage the plurality of receiving voice packets on the recording medium by time.

摘要： A sound element database is installed in an analog telephone hub. When hold operation or the like is performed on an analog telephone during voice communication, the analog telephone hub selectively reads out necessary sound element data from the sound element database, and sends the sound element data or the type information of the sound element data to an analog telephone on the held party side through a LAN. In an analog telephone hub on the held part side, an audible sound is generated on the basis of sound element data read out from the sound element database on the basis of the sent sound element data or the sound element data type information. This audible sound is supplied to the analog telephone on the held party side to be output. With this operation, an audible sound indicating the operation state of a communication terminal can be effectively transmitted to the communication terminal of the other party.
