摘要: A cutting tool having coating layers which are formed on the cutting tool substrate made of hard material, and the coating layers are composed of an inner layer of AlTiN, an interlayer of TiN, and an outer layer of Al2O3. The cutting tool is preferably produced by subjecting its substrate to surface-cleaning and surface treating by projection of flexible abrasives before forming the coating layers. The total thickness of the coating layer on a flank of the cutting tool is preferably in the range of 2 to 80 μm, and, further, it is preferable that thicknesses of the inner layer, the interlayer, and the outer layer on the flank are 0.5 to 35 μm, 1.0 to 40 μm, and 0.5 to 5 μm, respectively.

摘要: The gas phase catalytic oxidation of an unsaturated aldehyde with molecular oxygen at 200.degree. to 500.degree. C. to give the corresponding unsaturated carboxylic acid is conducted in the presence of a catalyst represented by the following formula:Mo.sub.12 P.sub.a X.sub.b Y.sub.c Z.sub.d O.sub.ewherein the subscripts represent the atomic ratios of each component and a is 0.5 to 6, b is 0.001 to 6, c is 0.2 to 6, d is 0 to 6, and e is a value determined by the valencies of the elements present in the catalyst; and Mo is molybdenum, P is phosphorus, O is oxygen, X is at least one metal selected from the group consisting of rhodium, cerium and zirconium, Y is at least one alkali metal selected from the group consisting of potassium, rubidium and cesium, and Z is at least one metal selected from the group consisting of iron, cobalt, nickel, zinc, antimony, silicon, bismuth, cadmium, uranium, manganese, copper, vanadium, niobium and tantalum. This catalyst is especially effective for the preparation of methacrylic acid from methacrolein and has a very long life time.

摘要: The present invention provides a process for the preparation of a catalyst used in the production of unsaturated carboxylic acids such as methacrylic acid by the gas phase catalytic oxidation of the corresponding unsaturated aldehydes such as methacrolein. Said catalyst is composed of a multi-component composition containing at least phosphorus, molybdenum and antimony. The present invention has attained an improvement in its catalytic performance such as conversion rate, selectivity, single-pass yield, etc. by using antimony trioxide with average particle size of no more than 0.2 micron as a starting material upon preparing said catalyst.

摘要: A current sensing device comprises a constant d.c. voltage power supply circuit which is fed with a current flowing in one direction and outputs a positive potential, a medium potential and a negative potential at a positive output terminal, a medium output terminal and a negative output terminal, respectively a current sensing resistive element connected in series to the power circuit a differential amplifier circuit which is fed with power from the output of the power supply circuit, and converts the voltage drop across the current sensing resistive element proportional to the one-direction current into an output signal based on the medium potential between the positive potential and the negative potential of the outputs a switching circuit; a control circuit which is fed with power from the power supply circuit and receives the output signal of the differential amplifier circuit proportional to the one-direction current to control the closing operation of the switching circuit signaling device which is activated by the closure of the switching circuit to emit light or produce a warning sound; and a switching operation prohibitive circuit which is connected to prevent the switching circuit from being closed improperly when the output voltage of the power supply circuit is not enough to operate the differential amplifier or the control circuit properly.

摘要: A circuit breaker in which the levels of overload currents are detected with increased accuracy and which functions properly even just often its load-connecting contacts are closed. A rectifier circuit converts outputs from current transformers into currents flowing in one direction, the current transformers detecting the currents through main the paths. A power supply circuit and current-detecting resistors are connected in series with the output of the rectifier circuit. Differential amplifiers amplify the potential differences across each resistor. If the power from the power supply circuit is insufficient to operate the differential amplifiers and a timer normally, an inhibiting circuit prevents a switch circuit from being closed.

摘要: An electronic circuit breaker is provided with a plurality of air coils, each of which is coupled to a main circuit and an overcurrent signal integrating circuit which receives the output of the air coil to output an overcurrent signal when the current through the main circuit exceeds a predetermined value. A current signal simulating an overcurrent in the main circuit is fed from an external testing device into a current signal receiving terminal (CST). A test voltage generating resistor (TVGR) is connected between the CST and ground. The current signal flows through the TVGR to develop a test voltage across the TVGR. Thus, the overcurrent signal integrating circuit simulates the overcurrent signal on the basis of the test voltage.
