摘要： A vehicular lamp used in a vehicle, includes: a light source for emitting light in accordance with power given thereto; a lamp body for accommodating the light source and protecting the light source from water; a first resistor provided in the outside of the lamp body and connected in series with the light source; and a current limiting circuit, provided in the inside of the lamp body, for preventing an excess current supplied to the light source in a case where dump surge occurs in a supplied voltage or current to be supplied to the light source.

摘要： A vehicle headlamp includes a reflector, a discharge bulb, a lighting circuit for supplying electric power to the discharge bulb, a socket coupled to the discharge bulb to connect the discharge bulb to the lighting circuit, an opening portion formed in a portion of a lamp body disposed rearwardly of the discharge bulb, and a cover for covering the opening portion. A power source-side connector and a bulb-side connector are fixedly secured to a portion of the lamp body disposed in the vicinity of the opening portion. The lighting circuit and an output connector for connection to the bulb-side connector are integrally formed on the cover. When the cover is moved to open the opening portion, the connection between the power source-side connector and the input connector and the connection between the bulb-side connector and the output connector are simultaneously interrupted.

摘要： A vehicular headlamp including a discharge bulb which allows mounting of a lighting circuit case to a lamp body using a simple and inexpensive structure and which allows for easy removal of the lighting circuit case therefrom. Because it is disposed within the lamp body, the lighting circuit case need not have a full waterproof structure, and thus it can be formed as a simple, light-weight and inexpensive structure. The lamp body is composed of a main body having an opening and a cover for closing the opening. A mounting portion for the lighting circuit case is formed at a position closely adjacent the opening of the main body of the lamp body. As a result, the lighting circuit case can be easily removed through the opening.
